Introducing Why Because: Funny and Punny Type Tees

Dim Sum t-shirt Why BecauseWhy Because t-shirt

I just got an email from Brett about the launch of his new t-shirt brand, Why Because. Why Because uses words and phrases (and some images) to make you laugh from looking at a t-shirt. I’ll let Brett explain in more detail:

“My motivation to start the line came out of a love for clever wording and phrases. All of the first run of shirts are based around type. Although they won’t always be typed based, they will have a humor edge to them. There are a lot of great humorous shirt brands but I figured there was room for at least one more out there. I plan to achieve world peace through humorous t-shirts. I don’t think it’s too much to hope for.”

I dig the designs they’ve got up so far–many of them are those type of goofy puns that I enjoy so much. I picked my favorite of the six release shirts to show you. It’s called Dim Sum, and it made me chuckle the most out of all the Why Because designs.

Why Because is currently holding a pre-order sale, in which all their tees are only $15. The tees are printed on American Apparel (yay!) and will ship in early December. Go check them out!

Selling Threadless Gift Certificates for 30%+ Off

Threadless

I have some STPs floating around still, so I thought I would bring back my cheap Threadless gift certificate deal just in time for their $10 sale that starts tomorrow. I’ve lowered the prices more than usual, and you can expect to get at least 30% off, or more if you buy a bunch. So here are the prices:

  • $25 gift certificate costs $17.50
  • $50 gift certificate costs $35.00
  • $100 gift certificate costs $65.00 (anything bigger also gets 35% off)

This is a great way to save even further on Threadless’ prices. If you want to take advantage of these super cheap gift certificates, just shoot me an email. You can also find me directly at colin [a  t] troundup [d o t] com.

Free Shipping at Threadless + 25% Off Deal

Threadless free shipping

With the 25% off at Threadless deal still running (according to troundup commentators at least), Threadless has decided to up the stakes even further. In addition to the 25% off, shoppers can now also get free domestic shipping, and $6 international shipping on orders $60+. This is actually a fairly big deal, as shipping costs can add up quick at Threadless, especially when you’re ordering a bunch of t-shirts (and it’s Threadless, so you’re pretty much always buying a bunch of shirts). I don’t think there’s any code or anything–just spend $60 or more and get your free shipping. See the post I linked to for details on also getting the 25% off discount, as you definitely don’t want to miss out on that. We’ve also got Threadless coupons, which should be another way to snag the 25% discount.

Threadless has been doing some crazy awesome promotions lately. I really hope this trend continues in the future.

Happy Independence Day 2011!

No t-shirt today, because I couldn’t bring myself to post an “America: Fuck Yeah!” t-shirt even in jest. I do want to wish everyone a happy 4th of July though, unless you’re one of those Brits, and then I guess this post loses some relevance. Anyway, happy Independence Day, and I hope you enjoy your fireworks and beer wherever you may be (the above picture is what I will be viewing tonight).

History is Full of Dickholes Shirt from Amorphia Apparel

This shirt is layin’ some serious real talk on everyone who reads it. The more I study history, the more I realize there were a ton of dickholes throughout our past. Sad thing is we haven’t learned all that well from said dickholes (in most cases).

This shirt comes from Amorphia Apparel, which is one of my favorite companies for intelligent, yet quirky, shirts. You can pick this one up for $15.99+ at their store. I put the “+” part because they use Spreadshirt, so you’re allowed some degree of customization. $15.99 is the cheapest you can get it, but if you’re willing to pony up $22.99, you can have it on some of those super comfortable American Apparel shirts you always hear me talking about.
