I don’t have time for a long post today, but I just wanted to stop in and let everyone know about the new tees Tank Theory Released. I think they released about 6-7 in total, with my two favorites being above. All of them are quite good (as usual with Tank Theory), those two just stand out to me. Also, they still are running their $15 sale on some of their older tees, so you can pick those up cheap.
Price: $23.00 | Tank Theory
Beautiful/Decay just released four new t-shirts from four new artists. It’s an incredible batch and I like all of them. If I had to choose, I’d say my two favorites are Lung Music (right) and Secret Weapon (left), but they’re all great designs. I love the concept behind Lung Music and if I can manage to muster up the money I’ll definitely be picking it up. Be sure to check out the other two shirts, Giant Hand and Caliph.
Price:Â $29.95 | Beautiful/Decay
Monsieur T just released their new line of shirts (which will be reviewed later). But, that’s not the big news – the big news is that they’re selling all their old shirts at a whopping 50% off. I already picked up Shine on Blue and One for the Treble and I might be going back for more. I’ve never worn one of Monsieur T’s shirts, so I don’t know what the fabric is like. That being said, they look comfortable, and slim fit is always a plus. If anyone knows what they feel/fit like, I’d love to hear in a comment.
There are a couple new Threadless shirts I like this week. Unlike usual, neither of the reprints really appeal to me.
Serenade – Threadless
There’s an incredible amount of detail in this design, enough that I wish I could buy it on a poster for my wall. Nevertheless, that’s not possible, so I guess I’ll have to settle for buying the t-shirt.
Holding Pattern – Threadless
I’m not particularly attached to the design, but I think from far away it looks stunning, especially on the burgundy. This is another tee I’m picking up this week.
Oh No! – Threadless
I probably won’t be buying this tee because of monetary issues, but I think it’s definitely worth a mention. It almost looks as if it has some “Flowers in the Attic” influences in it, with the way the girls hair is splattering. I don’t know if the artist consciously tried that, but it turned out very well.
As usual, remember to use a Threadless coupon to save $3.
I liked the Bushido t-shirt CUSTOM Industries sent me so much that I decided to showcase another one of their shirts. This t-shirt hails from Mongolia and is inspired by the Buddhist lord of death (Yama). Like Bushido, this is another great design. It’s printed on what I believe is an American Apparel ringer tee and will cost you $30.
Price: $30.00 | CUSTOM Industries
“Unicorns kick ass. Look at those F15 Jets Flying away. No one messes with a Unicorn.”
The above description from the site pretty much sums up the t-shirt in its badass entirety. Beta, the designer, screen prints all their shirts on American Apparel tees. I recommend you check out the rest of his shirts, as they’re all amazing.
Price: $28.00 | Beta @ Etsy
Thanks to tcritic for letting me know about beta.
Just like most of Imaginary Foundation’s shirts, the detail on this tee is absolutely amazing -Â you need to go to the site and view the zoomed in version to truly appreciate how cool it is. As the site says, it truly is next level psychedelic mayhem. The shirt comes in white or silver and is printed on American Apparel. Cost is a little on the high end, weighing in at $30, but it’s definitely worth it.
Price: $30.00 | Imaginary Foundation
This week’s batch of Threadless shirts brings the winner of the BioShock Loves contest as well as some other great designs.
By far my favorite of this week, The Leftover is the winner of the BioShock Loves contest. In my opinion, it’s one of the best Threadless designs in awhile.
This shirt is another one of my favorites this week. Solid, humorous design. I’m neutral on picking Natural for the color – it’s not my favorite, but I don’t dislike it.
Also worth a mention is the reprint of In Case of Zombies. If you missed this shirt before, be sure to pick it up.
Remember to use a Threadless coupon to save $3 on your order.
Faveur is a relatively new designer using religion as their influence in many of their designs. Now, i’m not religious, but luckily, with or without the deeper meaning, their shirts are really cool. Here’s the inspiration behind this one,
So the soldiers took charge of Jesus. Carrying his own cross, he went out to the place of the skull (which in Aramaic is called Golgotha). Here they crucified him, and with him two others-one on each side and Jesus in the middle. Pilate had a notice prepared and fastened to the cross. It read: JESUS OF NAZARETH, KING OF THE JEWS.
Price: $17.95 | Faveur
Like most of Shirt Empire’s designs, this tee gets its inspiration from music. From the site, “Born from inspiration, the Flying V is the ultimate in wild guitars, and now shirts.” It’s printed on Shirt Empire’s custom fit tee, which runs small, but looks really comfortable. Also, all Shirt Empire’s shirts are currently on sale for $10, so it’s quite cheap.
