Bears, Beets, Battlestar Galactica from Doubletake Clothing

The Office ShirtThe Office

I featured a bunch of shirts from The Office before, but this one is definitely my favorite. It goes deeper than an obvious reference–it’s something only a true fan would pick up. The shirt is referencing a quote from Jim. I’ve included a video from the show if you need a refresher, but, they’re basically Dwight’s three favorite things–bears, beets, and Battlestar Galactica.

I was actually going to write about this shirt today anyway, but I was lucky enough to get an email from Craig, the owner of Doubletake Clothing, giving me some background about the company and a 20% coupon code before I made the post. Like some other companies, Doubletake also dedicates a portion of their proceeds to charity. 25% of the money they make goes into a community fund, which they will spend on worthy and creative causes–it’s a pretty sweet gig. So check out the shirts, use the code “roundup20” for 20% off your order, and help out some charitable causes. Video for your viewing pleasure, and sorry if this post seems somewhat disjointed, Colin is a wee bit tired, and speaking in third person apparently:

I Like Wikipedia from Headline Shirts + Awesome Coupon

I Like Wikipedia Shirt FunnyI Like Wikipedia Shirt Funny

I just found out about Headline Shirts, and they’ve quickly become one of my favorite new brands. This shirt is awesome, from the font to the crazy kangaroo-eagle-lizard (that’s my interpretation), as well as laugh out loud funny. They’ve also been super nice and hooked me up with a sweet coupon code. If you use the code “TROUNDUP” at checkout, up until next Friday (Feb 6th) you’ll get a free surprise shirt with any purchase. Here are the details regarding the promotion from Jake, the guy who writes their awesome product descriptions (included below):

Users will receive a free “mystery shirt” of the same size with any order. (They should enter the code TROUNDUP on the shopping bag page, just after adding to cart.) They won’t know what they’re getting, except that it will be selected according to the design(s) they purchase.

One important thing to note: Users will actually not receive a notice of the free shirt after entering the coupon code. Instead, it will show up as a “$0.01” discount. But they should rest assured they’ll be getting a free shirt. (This is just the way our coupon system works right now, unfortunately.)

Now here’s that product description I promised. It gave me chuckles:

Some people say Wikipedia can’t be trusted, but I think it’s great for getting general information on a topic. Like, did you know that the Civil War and the War of 1805 were actually separate battles, despite the fact of them occurring in the same century?

I also learned that pornography has been around since the dawn of sex. Speaking of sex, you may be interested to know that Gordon Jump once guest-starred on an episode of Diff’rent Strokes as a pedophile who attempted to molest Arnold and his best friend Dudley (played by the actor Shavar Ross, who has been married since 1992 and has at least two children).

Speaking of the eighties, John Lennon (born Johnathan Chaz Ono Lennon) was shot and later died during the 1980s while wearing his favorite “New York City” t-shirt during one of his last concerts with the Mets at Beatles Stadium. He wrote a comic called “The Daily Howl” as a child.

Speaking of t-shirts, I made myself this Wikipedia t-shirt. Did you know that Kangaroos are actually not born with wings but develop them later in life? Guess where I learned that!

Thanks to Tcritic for letting me know about these guys!

Philosoraptor Shirt from Lonely Dinosaur

This one gave me a chuckle–it will probably give you a chuckle too…unless you’re weird (just kidding). Buy it at Lonely Dinosaur.

The Philosoraptor periodically tests the fences of reality, is able to open the doors of perception, and most importantly is guaranteed not make to you look like a giant turkey. All of our shirts are made with 100% Organic ring spun cotton. They are soft, durable, and always in vogue. Satisfaction comes not from the Philosoraptor in front of you, but from the two Philosoraptors you’ve already ordered.

Broadband Ruined my Life

I wouldn’t say broadband has ruined my life, it’s just made the Internet take up an inordinate amount of my time. Curse you Digg and looking for t-shirts! I should read more, because I have a huge stack of books waiting for me, and I just bought 5 more today. But, I digress. You can pick this shirt up for $37 (bummer on the exchange rate) at Yes No Maybe.

Evolutionary Gentlemen from SirEuan

Pop on your tie and umbrella and monocle and shoes and fancy new hat! You’re evolutionary!

They could bottle this shirt up and sell it as pure awesome in a can. Mad props to Mr. Euan for coming up with this design, and may you make many other similarly awesome ones. You can buy it at MySoti for $22.87 on American Apparel.

Badass Wolf Shirt from Anti-Clothes

Sometimes pink is truly the right color for a shirt – I believe this is one of those times. Grab it on American Apparel for the incredibly low price of $9.95 over at Anti-Clothes. I have no idea how they manage to sell their shirts this cheap and still make a profit, but I’m not going to complain.

Bushwood Country Club Shirt from Caddyshack

There are a bunch of Caddyshack shirts out there, but this is the best quality one I could find. It’s from the awesome guys over at Found Item Clothing, who’ve got some great pop culture shirts. It’s also on American Apparel, compared to many of the other companies who print on low quality shirts.

From Caddyshack, we proudly bring you the Bushwood Country Club t-shirt. On and off the golf course, the Bushwood Country Club tee is a fine item for summer wear, and fall, winter and spring for that matter.

Grab it for $21.95 at Found Item Clothing, and if you haven’t seen Caddyshack, get out of that cave you’ve been living in.

Reading is Crazy from TopatoCo

I just discovered the awesome t-shirt resource that is TopatoCo. They act as the merchant for numerous comic strips, and sell some kick ass funny tees. This one comes from Kate Beaton, which from just a quick glance, seems to be a great strip. I love the paint style, and it’s true – reading is crazy.

Pick it up for $18.00 on American Apparel.
