The Embrace T-Shirt from Rise Up Clothing

Wouldn’t it be great if these were really the only arms we needed? I featured Rise Up awhile back. Since then, they’ve only gotten better.

By purchasing clothing from Rise Up you are helping to make a difference in the world. We use the profits from our gear to help children out of exploitation & poverty. Thanks for supporting an Uprising of Compassion.

Their store at their website seems to be defunct, but you can still get their gear from Karmaloop and a few other places.

Joe the Plumber Shirt from Teefury

The Teefury one sold out, so for all those still looking for a Joe the Plumber shirt, check out this one from NerdyShirts:

Joe the Plumber Shirt

Teefury wasted no time in coming up with this Joe the Plumber shirt based on Wednesday night’s debate. Show your support for your favorite plumber. This one will run you $9 and is only available for today.

That’s twice I’ve featured Teefury in 2 days. Keep up the good work Layne.

Crazy Awesome Obama Shirt from Elektra

Elektra was kind enough to send me this crazy awesome, crazy soft, alternative apparel, Obama shirt. The shirts they are printed on are truly amazing – just really comfortable. This shirt got some well deserved publicity when it was worn by Madonna.

The packaging it was sent in was awesome. It came handwrapped in unique, printed Obama Paper. It was tied with cut up strips of fabric, and I even got a card. You can tell that a lot of care went in to the shirt, from start to finish.

Each shirt is also hand-printed, without the use of any machines, which is pretty damn cool.

Be sure to check out the whole Etsy shop, the quality and care of both the designs and actual shirts is top class.

Obama and McCain Shirts from Local Celebrity on Sale

Local Celebrity has dropped the prices on all their political shirts from $25 to $14 in anticipation of the election. I’m not sure how long the sale goes on, so if you want to gear up with some super soft Local Celebrity shirts I wouldn’t wait.

I’ve also created a Local Celebrity coupon site to keep the savings rolling.

2 Funny (Anti) Sarah Palin Shirts

I’m not Sarah Palin’s biggest fan, so naturally both of these gave me a chuckle. They’re both from quality companies I like too, not cafepress stuff.

The first is from Vintage Vantage.

For all the Joe Sixpacks out there. Faded print on a buttery soft grey tee. Priority shipping takes 2-3 days, plenty of time to scoop one up before the election. Also, $1 from each t-shirt sale will be donated to Planned Parenthood on behalf of Sarah Palin!
I like that Vintage Vantage is donating money to Planned Parenthood, especially on behalf of Sarah.
The next one is from Print Liberation.
Kudos for creativety on this one. Just an awesome shirt all around. In case you can’t see, the text under her face reads “We’ve come for your babies.”

F the Economy from Print Liberation

Fed up with the economy? Give it the big F You with this shirt from Print Liberation. It could also be interpreted as the economy getting an F grade, but I prefer to go with the former interpretation. Print Liberation has some awesome text tees, and are coming out with a lot of political tees due to the coming election. If you support Obama, you’ll probably like them, if you don’t, they probably won’t be your thing (unless you think Palin is an alien).

With an unconditional love for typography, design, logos, screen printing and creative direction, Print Liberation works hard everyday to make smart and effective design for the world and its people.

It’ll run you $15 and is printed on American Apparel.

Busted Tees Voting Shirts by someecard + Sale

Busted Tees just came out with some voting themed shirts by Someecards (they take the old pictures and put the words for those who don’t know). They’re some pretty cool shirts, with the top two above being my favorites. I just wish they had used some color variation, all the gray get’s a little annoying.

Also, they’re having a Recession Special, where all shirts are only $15.99 for a limited time. You can take that down another 10% with a Busted Tees coupon.

Logos vs Words – Obama vs McCain Shirts

I thought this was a really interesting concept from LargeXL. They’ve taken both candidates logos and switched the names to that of the other. It really forces you to take a second look, especially if you’re familiar with the logos. Your mind is trying to tell you what it should say, but the names are all wrong (at least that’s how it was for me, maybe I’m just an anomaly).

Either way, it’s a pretty sweet idea. You can grab them for about $22 at LargeXL.

I think Obama / Biden looks better on McCain’s logo than McCain does on Obama, the double C just throws it off.

PS. If you like political shirts, check out my other list of Obama shirts.

1-2-3-4 W.D.W.Y.F.W. from Retro Campaigns

I haven’t been alive (or even nearly alive) for any of the campaigns featured at Retro Campaigns, so I wasn’t sure what tee to pick when they asked me to review one, as I’ll admit my acquired knowledge of past presidential campaigns is fairly lacking (this sentence sounds awkward, oh well!). I finally settled on this one because it’s not time specific – it’s as relevant today (or nearly) as it was during Vietnam, and it has a good message. If you don’t know what the slogan is, 5 of the words are We Don’t Want Your **** War, I’ll leave you to figure out the fifth in the interest of being work/family friendly.

The shirts are printed on American Apparel, with nice soft prints – just the way I like them. I’d definitely recommend picking these up if you want to show off your political know-how.

I’ll leave you with Retro Campaign’s background of the shirt:

American opposition to the Vietnam War, propelled largely by young adults and college students in small numbers in the mid-1960s, grew into a national phenomenon by the end of the decade and on into the 1970s. As the War pushed seemingly endlessly forward, so did the protests. The draft, first-time-ever television coverage of combat, the Kent State shootings, the My Lai massacre and relentlessly depressing news about the war effort in general contributed to a nationwide beating drum of anti-war sentiment.

We’ll Do It Live From Busted Tees

Busted Tees is pretty good at keeping up with current events. This gem is a perfect example. If you haven’t seen the video, check it out below (there is graphic language, so NSFW if that’s a problem). Commemorate Bill O’Reilly’s rage for all time.

As usual, you can save with a Busted Tees coupon.
