Kid Cudi Moon Face Shirt from Karmaloop

I really like Kid Cudi. I posted that awesome Cudi portrait from The Cooler Collective a little while back, and now I’m going to partake in a little more Cudi love. This one is essentially the album cover, and I thoroughly dig it. I just think it’s an iconic image (even though Cudi ain’t quite at that icon status yet). The face on the moon was a great album cover, and it translates into a great shirt.

You can pick this one up from Karmaloop for $20.00. If you haven’t given Kid Cudi a listen yet, I recommend you do. Pursuit of Happiness and Revofev are good places to start in my opinion. We’ve also got a Karmaloop coupon good for 20% off your order, making the shirt only $16.

Charlie Sheen’s Best Quotes in T-Shirt Form

If you haven’t heard what’s been happening with Charlie Sheen lately, you need to find out, and then berate yourself for not knowing about it sooner. He’s become incredibly outspoken, in a crazy person type of way. Yet, I still can’t stop myself from saying, “Wow…that man is saying a lot of badass things, sprinkled between a lot of crazy things.” Here’s an illuminating video with some great lines, but if you’re more of a reader, here a few of my favorite quotes from him:

Here’s my personal favorite:

My conduct is bitchin’, my condition is perfect.

Some insight into his life:

I’m tired of pretending my life isn’t perfect and bitchin’ and winning every second.

His party style:

“[I was] bangin’ 7-gram rocks and finishing them because that’s how I roll. I have one speed, one gear … go!” and “I am on a drug, it’s called ‘Charlie Sheen.’ It’s not available ’cause if you try it once you will die. Your face will melt off, and children will weep over your exploded body.”

On winning:

I’m bi-winning. I win here, I win there.

I could go on forever, but I’ll stop there in the interest of space. Suffice it to say, it’s a comedy gold mine. That’s why I’m so happy someone made this awesome collection of shirts. The shirts display one of Charlie’s quotes, or his face in some cases, with the text “Live the Sheen Dream” below. I’ve gotta say, I wouldn’t mind livin’ the Sheen Dream now and then, and I’m 99% sure I’m gonna buy one of these shirts. Go learn about living the Sheen Dream…if you think you can handle it, that is.

Thanks to Coty for inspiring this post and my interest in Charlie Sheen.

Insound T-Shirt Sale–25% Off Lots of Music Shirts, incl. Beach House, Girls, Peter, Bjorn and John + More

Insound, an awesome online record store, is having an equally awesome sale on a bunch of band shirts–57 shirts to be exact. Every shirt on the list is discounted 25%. These aren’t just the reject shirts that need to be cleared out–there are a lot of quality designs from great bands. I’ve posted two of my favorites above (Peter Bjorn and John on the left and Yeah Yeah Yeahs on the right ), but other shirts on sale are from bands like Beach House, Blitzen Trapper, Clap Your Hands Say Yeah, Girls, Grizzly Bear, She and Him, Sonic Youth, Spoon, The Black Keys (x2), The Decemberists, The National, Wolf Parade, and Beirut (among others). I think most people can probably find something they like from that list.

Head on over to Insound to check out the sale. The vast majority of shirts are in the $14.00-$16.50 range. We’ve also got a page for Insound coupons to get even lower prices (although I don’t think they have any active currently).

Super Pavario from Seventh.Ink–Carl Pavano T-Shirt

For those who don’t know, Carl Pavano is a pitcher for the Minnesota Twins who sports a fairly powerful, Mario-like mustache (see the picture below). I always thought this whenever I saw him on TV (I’m not the only one), and that is why I love this shirt. Someone was obligated to make it, and Seventh.Ink kindly took that task upon themselves. I think the design is executed perfectly–the hat, mustache, and text is all that’s needed. It’s pretty hilarious.

This design, Super Pavario, is a shirt from Seventh.Ink’s new Spring 2011 Line. It’s definitely my favorite of the new designs. It’s currently on pre-order for $4 off the usual price (making it $20.00), and it will ship on March, 11th. It’s printed on American Apparel. Oh yeah, here’s Carl Pavano for comparison. See the Mario resemblance?

Open Road — Kerouac Shirt from Dead Bury Dead

I just got an email from Dead Bury Dead about the release of their Spring 2011 designs. I dig a bunch of these shirts, but Open Road is my definite favorite because, well, I like Jack Kerouac (and the shirt looks cool). On the Road didn’t change my life, but it’s a good book, and it opened me up to his other work which is even better in my opinion. The Subterraneans still remains one of my favorite books. I recommend you read it–once you get used to having a fifteen page paragraph it’s a great trip.

Now, about this shirt. It’s a great picture of two men walking down a road seemingly leading to infinity. I like the dark colors, and I really like the picture–it definitely has a Beat/Kerouac’ian feel to it. You can pick it up for $29.99 at Dead Bury Dead. It’s a limited edition print, so don’t dilly dally (I think there’s only like 8 for each size left). Check out the rest of the new designs as well, ’cause they’re cool.

P.S. Dead Bury Dead might have taken one of the hottest graphic t-shirt product photos I’ve ever seen (plus it’s a cool photo in general). Check it:

Pacman on Twitter Shirt from Lola Camisetas

God damn this shirt is brilliant! I never would have thought of this shirt, which I suppose is why I write about shirts rather than make them (although that might change soon!). The ghosts are just following Pacman everywhere–now he can’t even get his social networking on without them breathing down his neck.

I’m trying to decide if the shirt would come off better if they used the actual Twitter design (for the ghosts following). I’d have to see the two side by side to make the call. That being said, I still like how they implemented it. Witty concept + good design=successful shirt in Colin’s opinion.

You can pick this one up for €16.95. Yeah, that’s right, you unfortunately have to deal with the brutality of a horrible exchange rate. I’d say it’s worth the money though.

Fly–Philadelphia Flyers T-Shirt from atslopes

I never really had any hockey affiliation growing up, but…since I now live in Philadelphia, I figured it’s only fitting for me to support the Flyers. I guess it was fate, then, when I got this email from Andrew letting me know about atslopes new “Fly” t-shirt.

The shirt is essentially the Philadelphia Flyers logo manipulated to spell out fly above the orange target (did that need explaining?). It spices up the logo a bit, and I dig it. If you share my enthusiasm, you can head over to the atslopes store and buy it for $20.00 printed on American Apparel.

Bob Dylan X Beethoven Shirt from Young Lovers

Young Lovers has just released their 2011 collection, titled “Creatures of the midnight.” After browsing around, I can tell you that I’m quite enamored with it. My favorite is definitely this one: Dylan x Beethoven. Much like the title suggests, it’s an eye-catching combination portrait of Bob Dylan and Beethoven. Young Lovers’ execution of this design is top-notch–it comes off incredibly well. Like their product description tells us, it’s two incredible musical minds colliding on one shirt, and it looks great.

The design is available in either white on black, or black on white versions, and is a little pricey at $48.00.

If the price is a bit steep for you (here’s to you, college students!), Young Lovers is providing you with a great chance to win your three favorite shirts for free. All you have to do is go to their site and click the Facebook “like” button for each of the three designs you want. After that, you just have to wait until January 31st, when Young Lovers will pick five people to give three shirts each to. That’s cool!

Biggie Shirt from The Cooler Collective–Notorious B.I.G.

I posted up The Cooler Collective’s awesome Kid Cudi shirt a little while back, and now they’ve come out with another shweet offering featuring none other than Biggie Smalls. It’s in much the same style as the Cudi shirt, but goes with a white silhouette on a black shirt to mix it up a wee bit.

Notorious B.I.G. is another rapper I’m a big fan of (so unique!), so I obviously have some love for this shirt. Again, it’s a great portrait, and the imperfect nature of the whole thing makes it super cool. The Cooler Collective has a few of these rapper portraits and seem to be releasing new ones, so expect to see more on troundup in the future.

If you wanna pick this one up, head on over to their store, where you can purchase it for $21 American dollars.

Up in Smoke from LTD Tee

Commemorate your favorite stoners with this somewhat recent shirt from LTD Tee. I dug the earlier design they did of Hunter S. Thompson, and I like this one a lot as well. It’s a simple portrait, but I think it comes off pretty well. The red bandana/hat pops.

You can pick it up at the LTD Tee store. It’ll cost you $29.99, but that includes an 8×10 print, a custom box, and some other goodies. It’s printed on Alstyle shirts as well.

Cheers everyone!
