Sensationalism from Shirt Fight

shirt-fight-sensationshirt-fight-sensation2

There are a bunch of these type of shirts, but I still find myself liking them–it’s just something about people in suits with TVs where their heads should be I guess. I do especially like the bears on this one though. Plus, it’s from mathiole, who is pretty rad. Check it out at Shirt Fight. It’ll run ya $18.

Mickey Mao Shirt from AVAZAVA

funny-mao-shirtfunny-mao-shirt2

For being a horrible guy, it’s kind of strange how many ways you can combine Mao into other words and phrases, most commonly in ROFLMAO–I think that was one of the first shirts I ever wrote about, from the now defunct Dirty Microbe. Damn, that was a long sentence, and probably a run-on. It’s late though, so who cares? That being said, I like this one way more than ROFLMAO. I think one of the biggest reasons is its Mao with mouse ears, but also messaging acronyms have greatly fallen from my favor.

You can find this one on the venerable site known as Etsy, from a shop called AVAZAVA. It will cost you $26. Go buy it. It’s also printed on an American Apparel tri-blend tee, which…

Mummy Shirt from Holebrain

Mummy T-Shirt

I love this. How many cute mummies do you usually see depicted out there? It’s time they get some respect. Once again I’m diggin’ the simplistic black sketch (remember Piratebath?). I like that they spiced it up with the horizontal stripes though. Overall, a quite solid offering from a company I just discovered.

Check it out at Holebrain. It will cost you $18.

The Big Fifth Eye from Resist Today

twoheadsbigtwoheadsbig2

That certainly is a very big and very cool looking fifth eye. This shirt somewhat creeps me out, but in a good way. I definitely like it. I also just spent like 4 hours doing tedious homework, so that might contribute to creepiness of a huge fifth eye on a two-headed dude. You can check this out at the always awesome Resist Today. Check out their wallets too–they cool.

American Apparel Delving Deeper Into the Graphic Tee World

americanapparelamericanapparel2

Cruisin’ around on Rumplo today, I noticed an all-over print t-shirt with a model that looked vaguely American Apparel ‘ish. I’m like, “nah, that can’t be American Apparel, because that’s not their style.” But then I went to the link, and I was all like, “damn, that shit is American Apparel, and I’ve never seen that before so I’m going to post it on my super sweet t-shirt blog.” So here it is. I posted it. It’s not my favorite design ever, but it’s pretty cool, and maybe they’ll keep churning out stuff that gets even cooler.

Check it out at American Apparel.

P.S. If they’ve already done something like this, don’t comment, because I don’t delete comments and it would make me look dumb.

The Great Escape from Shirt Fight

escape2escape

So my break for Chicago somewhat slipped into a much longer break–sorry about that. I’m back now though! Chicago was a blast in general, most especially Lollapalooza.

I really dig this shirt from Shirt Fight. There’s so much going on, and the orange looks quite cool on the blue. Also, maybe it will get people to think that possibly we should stop destroying (or burning) our forests so all the animals don’t have to go on a great escape to get away. That’d be awesome!

It’s on pre-sale for $13.00. Pick it up on American Apparel!

Lego Love from Design Proper

lego-tshirtlego-tshirt2

I think this design is pretty snazzy, but man, the methodology behind the design is even cooler. Ryan, the owner, just threw a bunch of legos on the screen and then burned the image to make the design. I’ll let him describe:

Believe it or not, this T-shirt is made using legos. I randomly threw a hand full of Lego’s on the screen and burned the image. If you look closely, you can even see little Lego men (most don’t have heads…weird…). I’ve screened them in an 80’s fade that we all know and love (hot pink to yellow to green). You can enjoy it on a white, mint green, or light blue American Apparel shirt. Limited quantities for this first batch.

I think that’s damn cool. Go snag it at the Design Proper store. He prints on American Apparel.

Here are some pictures from the design process for your extra viewing pleasure:

Series 9 Drops Over at Fullbleed

FULLB_mindthegap

I never have anything bad to say about Fullbleed’s releases, so I just decided to go through all the new releases, all of which are printed on American Apparel 50/50 blend shirts, and pick out my favorite, which is…Mind the Gap. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, I really like Fullbleed’s style. Not only do they look cool, but they just have the feeling that there’s a much deeper intellectual/philosophical meaning behind them. Hopefully that makes sense, but there is a good chance that I’ve miserably failed at trying to convey my opinions on the aforementioned style.

Below is a picture of all of Fullbleed’s new releases:

Turn it Up! from lunchboxbrain on MySoti

turn-it-upturn-it-up1

This shirt garnered a definitive chuckle from me. The text drew me immediately to that Flo Rida song (Oh hot damn, this is my jam–you know it), and obviously juxtaposing Flo Rida with the dude on the shirt makes for a funny image. I think the guy on the shirt also looks like the guy wearing the shirt in an odd way (anyone wanna back me up on that?).

You can grab this on American Apparel for $23.11 at MySoti. You can also pick a different type of blank to make it like $5 cheaper.

The Donut Rampage Tee from Paper Root Clothing

donut-rampage-shirtdonut-rampage-shirt2

I think this shirt effectively describes the theme of my “Quirky T-Shirts” category. If this category had a book cover–this tee would be on it. Usually I’m the one decimating the donut, but in this design, the roles are reversed, thrown up with some retro-esque style, and made into something quite awesome.

I bet you big money that you get some stares if you wear this shirt–a shirt printed on American Apparel which you can grab for $18.00 at Paper Root Clothing.

P.S. Just to reiterate, this is a shirt of a giant donut rampaging through a city and eating people. Wtf mate? (I love it though, incase Paper Root people stop by and see this)
