After beginning to read through the 700 emails I’ve allowed to amass in my inbox (yeah, that’s why I suck at responding), I came across this awesome new brand called Anti Monkey. They’ve just released their first collection, aptly entitled “What the Fuck.” The collection consists of 12 different designs of the middle finger (and surrounding hand) in all its glory; each design wanting to tell its own story. I’ll let them give you a little picture of the meaning behind it:
…our brainchild ANTI MONKEY, our riot against boredom and mediocrity, manifested in shameless T-shirt prints. Our first statement is the collection What The Fuck, which is about celebrating life, encouraging self-staging, gender swapping. Each print stands for one middle-finger-story, e.g. of a sparkling Ladyboy, jiggle-wiggle Mr. Pudding, rough & tough Rocky, schick and proud Madam.
I dig the designs, as well as the accompanying message behind them. You can pick up all the designs at the Anti Monkey website. They’ll run you 25 euros each (which is finally close to $25! Thanks exchange rate).
Don’t ask (or expect) me to explain what this shirt is about or why I really, really like it. I have referenced my enjoyment of shirts with bikes on them in the past, but that’s usually limited to old-fashioned bikes. I guess if you throw Chewbacca on a bike, it will allow modern day bikes to slide into my categorical like system.
You can pick it up for $24.00 at Kindred Market, who launch a new brand on their site every week, which is pretty cool, not to mention prolific.
P.S. I also love the name of the shirt.
P.S.S. Sorry for not posting to much, I’ve been addicted to the World Cup and Pro Evolution Soccer 2010 on ma Xbox (among other things).
Local Celebrity just released this brand new, gem of a shirt. Prior to this, it had never occured to me that the crossing of a bear and deer would create such an awesome creature as a beer. Now I know.
When I got the email, I was at first a little perplexed. “Why does it say Beer below a picture of a bear?”, I asked myself. Then I saw the antlers on the bear, and then I laughed uproariously (in my mind).
This one from RandR is pretty flippin awesome. Without the title of the shirt, it will probably only look like a 3-d owl with a gun (sans 3-d glasses), but I’m totally cool with that.
I’m also transferring to Temple University, whose mascot is the owl, which gives me an extra connection to this shirt. Our mascot doesn’t carry a gun though (unfortunately).
You can pick it up for $14.00 at RandR. Sadly, sizes are somewhat limited (they don’t have my size ).
I’ve really dropped the ball on posts…sorry. But, I think this is pretty cool, maybe it can help make up for it?
For the next month, you can get 30% off at Owl Movement by using the code “owlmerch30“. As you may have noticed, Owl Movement has been on my favorite t-shirt companies list since the beginning. This is because they have awesome shirts and an awesome style. They haven’t released any new series for a while, but I hope that changes.
Go buy some shirts for 30% off at their store.
I haven’t posted about an individual Threadless shirt in a long time, but boy oh boy did this shirt make me want to change that. I like everything about it, from the crazy awesome drawing style, to the yellow t-shirt, to the minimal use of white for just the sun, clouds, smoke and wagon covers. It looks awesome.
Both characters are pretty cool looking, but I think I’m pulling for the bad guy on the back of the shirt. It’s all about the hat/cape looking coat combo.
This shirt is goofy as hell and I love it. I think there’s a real reason why evolution didn’t give cats 8 legs–it would look ridiculous. So yeah, I love this shirt from bluchez, and I love punny stuff.
Grab it starting around $18 at MySoti. You can customize the colors and choose the blank it’s printed on. Also, this is unrelated, but MySoti is now offering custom designed lamp shades, which is totally badass.
Poketo has amazing taste in products. I’m not just talking about t-shirts–their wallets, prints, and pretty much everything else are all great. I’m probably going to end up buying about three prints, a wallet, and maybe this shirt. If I had a money tree I’d be getting a whole helluva lot more than that too.
As for this shirt, I have a full-on love affair with Marcus Oakley’s (the artist) style. It’s a superb illustration, and we could all benefit from taking this sweet-looking monster’s advice.
You can pick this one up for $28.00 at Poketo. I really recommend you check out the rest of their stuff as well. And yeah, we have a Poketo coupon, although I think it just expired yesterday unfortunately.
No time to write but this is real cool! Check it out at Shirt Fight. It’s printed on American Apparel.
Aww, look at the cute monster. I really like this one from Fair and Bare, who I had never heard about until I stumbled upon them today. I feel like the monster–I really like nature. People should stop killing it. That’d be cool.
You can pick this one up for 16 pounds over at Fair and Bare.
