Monsters in my Cortex from Threadless

I’m sad that I missed this, because it’s sold out now. I really like the simple style though, and I think everyone gets the feelings of monsters in the cortex every once in awhile.
Do they ever reprint Threadless Selects? I forget their policy on that. I feel like they don’t, which sucks, because I would like to purchase this shirt. Oh well, live and learn. We can all just look at the pretty picture and envision actually owning the shirt.

Unfortunately, I think this shirt is sold out in all sizes. But…that doesn’t mean we all can’t marvel at it for its awesome randomness. I’m not entirely sure what’s going on here, but I know that it’s cool and that I would happily wear it.
Check it out at RVCA.
Mummy Shirt from Holebrain

I love this. How many cute mummies do you usually see depicted out there? It’s time they get some respect. Once again I’m diggin’ the simplistic black sketch (remember Piratebath?). I like that they spiced it up with the horizontal stripes though. Overall, a quite solid offering from a company I just discovered.
Check it out at Holebrain. It will cost you $18.
The Big Fifth Eye from Resist Today

That certainly is a very big and very cool looking fifth eye. This shirt somewhat creeps me out, but in a good way. I definitely like it. I also just spent like 4 hours doing tedious homework, so that might contribute to creepiness of a huge fifth eye on a two-headed dude. You can check this out at the always awesome Resist Today. Check out their wallets too–they cool.
The Donut Rampage Tee from Paper Root Clothing
Published July 21, 2009 in Printed on American Apparel Quirky T-Shirts T-Shirts.

I think this shirt effectively describes the theme of my “Quirky T-Shirts” category. If this category had a book cover–this tee would be on it. Usually I’m the one decimating the donut, but in this design, the roles are reversed, thrown up with some retro-esque style, and made into something quite awesome.
I bet you big money that you get some stares if you wear this shirt–a shirt printed on American Apparel which you can grab for $18.00 at Paper Root Clothing.
P.S. Just to reiterate, this is a shirt of a giant donut rampaging through a city and eating people. Wtf mate? (I love it though, incase Paper Root people stop by and see this)
Captain Octopus from Sharp Shirter

I’m a sucker for using American Apparel’s striped tees like this, so I think that ties in somewhat with why I like this design. I’m not trying to discredit the design with that though, because a pirate octopus is an excellent design in itself–I’m trying to think of ways to describe a pirate octopus other than badass, because I feel like I use that a lot. So you have a cool blank that isn’t used that often combined with a very unique and well done design. This equation equals cottony t-shirt goodness, so you should probably buy it.
It will run you $22 at Sharp Shirter, on the aforementioned American Apparel blank.
Life’s Good from Teextile

This new design from Teextile has some sweet style going on. This type of shirt (the cartoonish character) is usually pretty hit and miss with me, but I definitely like this one. I think the purple is a great choice for this design–really pops.
Unfortunately I missed posting this yesterday, when you could have bought this shirt for $12. That being said, you can still grab it for $15 for the rest of the week. It’s printed on a purple American Apparel shirt.

They’ve got some sweet designs, this one included, which are on sale right now for only $12. If you’re in to angry bears, or just cool designs I suppose, you should definitely check these guys out.
Black Dog from 2K by Gingham at Krudmart

It’s kind of outside the usual style of things I post, but I like this offering from 2K by Gingham, conveniantly available at Krudmart. I think it’s cool how the dog just seems to emerge out of the shadows, and how the shadows wrap around the entire shirt. Definitely a neat effect.
It’s somewhat pricey at $32.00, but I think it’s worth it if you’ve got the cash in this economy.
Ape-ocalypse from Go Ape Shirts

I just got an email letting me know that not only has Go Ape Shirts been open for three years now, but also that they’ve released a new shirt, entitled Ape-ocalypse. As consistent with most of their designs, it’s pretty sweet. I especially like the dude with the axe and the red ray background–I think they’re nice touches to an already nice shirt. You can grab this one for $18.00 at Go Ape Shirts.
