So when I said expect posting to resume tomorrow, I actually meant in 5 (or 6?) days. I guess I’m not always the best with punctuality. Buuuut, I really like this shirt from Deter, so I had to post it out. As I’ve said before, animals with clothing/accessories, when done well, are a sure hit with me. I believe this is one of those shirts–I dig the different color shades on all the penguins.
You can grab it for $35 at Deter.
Yay for random, quirky shirts–they rock. I’m not quite sure what I can say about this shirt other than that I like it and it’s totally badass. Grab it at ReThink Clothing.
Lame name??? Maybe, but say that to this otter. Yeah, I am sick of those pansy animals, so to bring in the new year I bring on this cigar smoking, helmet wearing, no Bull-shit Otter.
Linty Fresh is a company that I like but I’ve never really written about, except for waaaay back in 2007. With this post, I plan to change that. Eric’s (the owner of Linty Fresh) new release for February is awesomely creative and cool. It’s definitely one of the better uses of glow in the dark ink I’ve seen. I wish we could see the actual shirt glowing in the dark, but I understand that could be a difficult shot to take. That being said, I did hear from Eric’s ustream videos that the shirt is very bright, so not glowing shouldn’t be a problem.
I’m definitely debating picking this one up–the only thing holding me back is my already full closet of shirts. It runs $22 on American Apparel. Grab it at the Linty Fresh store.
Yay for a kitten with a boom box head. I can’t explain it, but I like it. This one comes from randr tees, who I just found about through my inbox. They’ve got some sweet tees, printed on some sweet blanks (it seems to be Alternative Apparel for the ladies and American Apparel for the guys).
Oklahoma Based, we accept designs from artists located from all over the world, our tees go for different styles though we are moving towards a more retro look (see Boombox cat and Knife bird, two of our best selling shirts).
This one will run you $18 over at the randr store.
I’m a sucker for shirts like this. An Owl by itself would be pretty boring, but when you throw a top hat and some neon pink shades on it, it becomes infinitely cooler. It costs $25 over at Anonymous Venice. However, I found the coupon code “JESSICA” which should give you 15% off.
From the mind of David Deter comes this super fresh line of 80′s inspired t-shirts.
I’m sad to say that it appears that on December 23rd the joy that is TorsoPants will be gone from this world forever. So that means, if you wanna pick up any of their random, but very funny, shirts, you should do it soon.
It is with great sadness that I announce, at the urging of Bilderberg, that I am closing the doors at TorsoPants.com at midnight December 23rd, 2008. I cannot get into complete details, but my higher masters have told me that my mission will be changing over the next few months and this is the first step in a series of movements I will make in my life to fulfill the prophecy that is Sunshine Megatron.
Torsopants.com was a very personal project for me and I am proud of what we accomplished and of the product we brought to the masses. I can only pray that those who remain asleep will wake up by the end of 2009 (the 11 year) , but cannot explain this any further and only wish the best for all of your human race.
So, the 2 new Torsopants this week will be our last new designs and as mentioned above, December 23rd, 2008 will be the final day in the life of our experiment. Feel free to buy something before it’s done.
Love to all that deserve it.
Yay for awesome bear themed shirts. I’m having a little trouble coming up with a good description, so I’ll just call it really, really cool. It’s definitely one of my favorite Design by Humans shirts. As the artist, siXsiXsiX says, “enjoy the funky thrillin’ bear! ”.
I just got an email from Jerry about Lazy Oaf. I checked them out, and I must say that their design style is quite awesome. All their shirts are great, I just chose this one because it was the first to catch my eye.
As the site says, “not only do German Shepherds make the best guard dogs, but they also happen to look rather dashing in pink aviators.” It’s definitely a true statement. Grab this one for 25 pounds over at Lazy Oaf.
Lazy Oaf is famous for it’s bright pop graphic T-shirts, reversible sweats and accessories collections. The company is driven by illustration, graphics, drawing, and fuelled by tea, hamburgers and Brian Blessed’s knarley foot. The Oaf’s have often contributed to print projects, exhibitions and events.
This East London based creative label was started by Gemma Shiel back in 2001 with hand screen printed tee’s and a market stall in East London, skip to the present and lazy Oaf is available in over 150 stockists worldwide. 2004 saw the opening of the lazy oaf store in Soho which houses all of the collections and further Oaf oddities sourced from Japan and the US.
I just discovered the awesome t-shirt resource that is TopatoCo. They act as the merchant for numerous comic strips, and sell some kick ass funny tees. This one comes from Kate Beaton, which from just a quick glance, seems to be a great strip. I love the paint style, and it’s true – reading is crazy.
Pick it up for $18.00 on American Apparel.
A new (to me) release from one of my favorite brands, Black Sea Apparel. Normally I wouldn’t be a huge fan of bunnies on a shirt, but this design just…works. Maybe it’s the pretty colors (I know you all come here for my in-depth analysis). It’ll run you $21 over at Black Sea Apparel.
