I’m finally back from vacation and ready to get back to posting at a more regular clip. I thought I would get that started with this awesome, awesome t-shirt from Headline Shirts. It’s called Hunter S. Giraffe, and it rules. Check it out:
Hunter S. Thompson is a total badass, so whoever at Headline Shirts came up with the idea of making a giraffe version of him is a brilliant person. The design features the giraffe with Hunter’s customary hat and cigarette. It’s just something about a Hunter S. Thompson’like giraffe that gets me. So yeah, this design f&*&ing rules (censoring myself for effect).
I don’t post shirts like this a lot, but it’s too odd looking not to post. It’s probably my favorite take on the whole cat meme thing, just because it’s so horribly drawn. It’s almost mocking the cat meme (at least in my opinion, which is probably wrong). Check it out:
As you can see, the shirt is intentionally drawn badly–it’s so horrible it makes me laugh. Now, whether you’re willing to spend the 60 pounds that this t-shirt costs to buy something horribly drawn is one thing, but, I think this design is pretty awesome. Essentially, I admit this design is essentially expensive eye-candy (well, in a way…), but I liked it too much not to share. If you do want to buy it, or just want to check out the rest of Maison Twenty, go to this link.
T-Shirt Contest just released their newest shirt, which features an awesome mashup of da Vinci’s Vitruvian Man and Pikachu from Pokemon. Sounds like odd subject matter, right? I guess, but it’s goofily awesome. Check it out:
I still remember playing Pokemon on my Gameboy Color when I was a wee lad, so I’ll always have a soft spot for such subject matter. Pikachu just has that inherent magnetism, so when he gets put on a shirt, people like it. You can buy Vitruvian Mon for only $12.00 over at T-Shirt Contest. Tom Ledin is the actual artist for this t-shirt, and he resides out in San Francisco.
Goodie Two Sleeves is a brand that I really enjoy, and they have always been to me (see ad on right), so I’m happy to post this ridiculous (in a good way) t-shirt I just found from them. It’s called Baby Baby Baby Meow, and features a…cat with Justin Bieber hair. Yes, this shirt is an illustration of an itty bitty kitten with Justin Bieber hair. Ridiculous. I dig it. Something about that hair and those cute little kitten eyes just melt my soul. The signature hoodie is a very nice touch as well. I would usually never post anything Bieber related, but this one makes the cut based on sheer goofiness.
You can buy this t-shirt from Goodie Two Sleeves for $21.95. For those who don’t know, Goodie Two Sleeves’ blank t-shirts are some of the most comfortable things around. You will be riding around in pure, unadulterated, cotton goodness. Yes, it feels as awesome as it sounds.
Are you ready for an absolutely ridiculous t-shirt? I hope so, because I present to you, Zombie Squirrel from the German brand Denada. This shirt is just crazy (awesome). All the little details–the brains in the acorn, the tattoos on the squirrel, the facial expression, it’s all great. Plus just the concept…IT”S A FRIGGIN’ ZOMBIE SQUIRREL. I like this t-shirt a lot, and kudos to Andy from Hamburg (the man behind Denada) for having the courage to show the world just how dangerous zombie squirrels can be.
You can add this ridiculawesome t-shirt to your closet for 29.90 Euro. Buy it, if only for the looks you’ll get from everyone around you.
I’ve got a great, yet cringe-worthy pun themed t-shirt for you today, called “Assault and Battery Love Story” from a designer named Boots on MySoti. From my interpretation of the shirt, a “Battery” killed a “Pepper Shaker” so that he could be with “A Salt (Shaker). Yeah, it’s definitely goofy–but I’ve told you in the past that I enjoy horrible puns, especially when they’re on t-shirts.
You buy it for $23 at the MySoti store. You can choose to have it printed on either American Apparel (a little more expensive), or a more basic shirt.
I’m popping in late this evening to show off a super rad t-shirt that I found while doing my regular browse around Etsy. The t-shirt, in all its goofy glory, depicts a robot boxing with a T-Rex. I don’t pretend to know why they’re fighting, but I do know that the mere fact that they are fighting is awesomely bad-ass. The design is simple, yet cool looking. I dig it.
You can buy the shirt for $25.00 at Gnome Enterprise’s Etsy store. It’s printed on a charcoal American Apparel tri-blend athletic tee, so you can be sure you’ll be comfortable while showing off your robot/t-rex prize fight. Also, if you’re ever bored, I recommend you just take a browse around Etsy. It’s truly a great way to kill time and find really unique stuff.
Foepaws is a great t-shirt brand that I’ve posted about in the past. They don’t have a huge selection of t-shirts, but I do definitely enjoy the designs they have. This is one of their newer tees, called Sasquatch Smash! The design features a badass sasquatch smashing things in his huge monster truck. Definitely interesting material! I think it looks great–very creative design.
The design will cost you $18 at Foepaws. It’s printed on a grey American Apparel tri-blend tee, which is probably my favorite type of blank. It’s just so gosh darn comfortable.
I just got an email from Tim about his ~one year old UK brand, All Round Clothing. Tim tells me All Around Clothing has been achieving some good popularity thanks to musicians wearing his t-shirts, namely Ben Bruce of Asking Alexandria. All Round Clothing’s motto is “Take your passion, make it happen”, which I think everyone can respect.
As for this shirt, I think it’s a great and interesting design. Some might say that desig a t-shirt around an illustration of a fox would be difficult, but I think All Round Clothing has nailed it. I love the way they used the simple colors, as well as the “sketch-like” style of the design. They’ve got it branded, but not in an obnoxious way (I didn’t even see it at first), so I’ve got no problems with that. Also, the fox is wearing a top hat, which is sweet (and a British tie-in). You can buy the shirt for 16 pounds at All Round Clothing’s store. It’s printed on a cream American Apparel t-shirt.
I found this wicked Grizzly Bear t-shirt from Dusty Lumber on Rumplo. I don’t usually go for branded designs, but I think the grizzly is cool looking enough to win me over. You can buy the t-shirt for $15 at the Dusty Lumber shop. Dusty Lumber prints their t-shirts on American Apparel blanks, so you know the shirt will be comfortable.
