Two More Shirts That Help Haiti

Many Hands Make the Load Lighter - Threadless, Best T-shirts Ever

Here’s two more shirts helping Haiti, both from relatively large companies–Threadless and Local Celebrity respectively. I like how companies have been stepping up and offering the entire proceeds of the sales to charity instead of just a portion.

Threadless’ proceeds will go to the American Red Cross Haiti Relief and Development Fund while Local Celebrity’s will go to Yele Haiti, which is Wyclef Jean’s organization.

Help Haiti Shirt from Doubletake Clothing

This shirt isn’t so much about a design, but more about raising awareness while also donating to help people that could use all the help they could get. All the net proceeds will go to various organizations helping those in Haiti. They’ve got a shirt for $15, or the exact same shirt for $20 if you’d like to donate an extra $5. I’m also going to paste the product description below for more info:

Given the catastrophic events that occurred in Haiti, Doubletake Clothing wants to do something to help the 3 million people affected by the earthquake. No words can describe what the Haitian population is going through right now.

All net proceeds will go to several Haiti Earthquake Relief Organizations including UNICEF, Doctors Without Borders, and CSI Ministries. Doubletake Clothing is taking care of all domestic shipping costs (free shipping!) and reduced international shipping to $5. We’re working with suppliers to reduce the costs of materials to maximize the donation to Haiti. We will periodically update our estimated total donation.

This is a pre-order item, so we will get the shirts to you as fast as possible (typically 2 weeks after sales close). At this time, we plan on closing sales Jan. 22, 2010.

Movember Man from Palmercash

movember-manmovember-man2

I like this dude from Palmercash. He sports a damn fine moustache and looks good doing it. I’m not really sure what else to say. Oh wait, there’s this! For every shirt bought Palmercash will donate $10 to Movember for the Fight Against Prostate Cancer. That’s pretty cool. $10 is a pretty hefty percentage of the sale.

Check it out at Palmercash. I’ll also try to get a Palmercash coupon up asap if I can find a working one.

CommonThreadz — Charity Shirts by African Orphans

mens_4580_hood_white_gumedemens_1075h_ash_hiabisa

CommonThreadz is a pretty awesome idea for a charity. Each shirt is designed by an African orphan, and each shirt that is sold allows them to house one orphan for one month. You can get some cool shirts and help out a great cause at the same time. I’ve quoted the email below for more details:

Hello, I hope all is well with you. I’m just contacting you about possible blog worthy news. We recently launched a new series of t-shirts called The Orphan Collection. All the shirts are designed by orphans in Africa (pics of them are on the site) and we are able to feed an orphan for 1 month for each t-shirt sold, which is awesome. I think this is a really unique product line and a creative way for orphans themselves to participate in providing sustainable change for the better in their lives.

Check it out and hopefully you think it would be good for your blog. We certainly need some good press so it is much appreciated!

Also, each shipping package now includes 1) the name of the orphan that we are able to buy a school uniform / feed for a month because of their purchase & 2) a special code that will allow them to view & interact with that child’s online profile, complete with continually updated photos, videos, messages and more.

They are a register charity incase anyone is wondering.

It’s the End of the World and You Are A Part of It

I’m rockin’ the type tee for the second time in two days. This one is for sale at Desired Hearts, but it comes from a designer I really like -  AJ from Collision Theory. He did the Black Hole Sun shirt from Design by Humans, as well as a bunch of other great designs. Desired Hearts is also really cool in that they donate $5 from every sale to the charity of the buyer’s choice – that’s a pretty large percentage going to charity.

Buy an awesome tee and support a charity at the same time!
