CA, NY T-Shirt from Eddie Tsai on Kickstarter

Eddie just emailed me about his cool new “Where Are You From? CA, NY or Other” t-shirt. Speaking as someone living in Philadelphia, I’m not sure I can fully agree with the sentiment, but I’m guessing this t-shirt would be especially relevant in the film industry. Even if I don’t entirely agree, I still think it’s a cool and clever design worthy of being checked out.
Rather than a traditional store, Eddie is selling is design through Kickstarter, and the first 25 orders are allowed to pay whatever they want. As with all Kickstarter projects, the shirts won’t get printed unless the goal of $1,000 is reach. Of course, if the goal isn’t reached you won’t be charged anything, so there’s no risk. Anyway, check it out and help him out if you like the shirt, ’cause Eddie still has a bit of a ways to go. The shirt is also a limited run–so you won’t be seeing it all over the place. I’m guessing most of the shirts will be concentrated in California and New York.

You guys know that I like featuring Etsy t-shirts sometimes, and when someone emails me it makes it all the easier to do that. Lemme just say, I love this shirt. I don’t know where Ashley’s inspiration came from, but I’m a fan of this crazy “strung-out, meth head version of E.T.” (his words, not mine). It’s a side of E.T. the world has never seen. In addition to liking the concept (of a meth head E.T.), I also love the illustration style. It’s crazy cool by itself, but the fun isn’t over…
Ashley draws each design by hand, using fabric dye markers (which are permanent and won’t fade). This means that every shirt is a unique piece of art–no screen printing duplication here. It also means the shirt is a little more expensive than usual, weighing in at $40.00. Still, for a unique piece of E.T. meth head art, I think that’s worth it. Ashley also tells me he accepts commissions and can draw the design on any size shirt. So yeah, this design is a little out there, but I dig and hopefully you do to. You can pick it up at Etsy. Again, Ashley hand draws these and can do so on whatever size shirt you’d like if you contact him.
P.S. This is pretty much why I created a blog post category called “quirky t-shirts”. This is the definition, right here.
Quidditch House Outfitters T-Shirt from Tee Fury: Harry Potter T-Shirt

Maybe you haven’t heard (in that cave you’ve been living in), but the final Harry Potter movie comes out this weekend. It’s the end of my childhood. I was pretty much the perfect age to grow up with the Harry Potter books; and grow up I did. They will always hold a dear place in my heart just because of that connection: Harry grew up while I grew up. I’m going to try and put a bunch of shirts together for the movie release, but until then I thought I would post this bad boy from Tee Fury. It’s just a little goofy shoutout to Harry Potter. If you miss the joke: the shirt looks very much like one of those generic Abercrombie/Old Navy athletic shirts, but it’s Harry Potter.
I like the design, but I love Harry Potter: i.e. this design was destined to be posted no matter what. It’s being sold at Tee Fury, so you only have 24 hours to buy it. It also only costs $10.00 though. You can pick it up at Tee Fury until 7/11 at 11:59pm. For $10 bucks, why not buy it and impress all your friends who are Harry Potter Fans?
P.S. The highball disclaimer still applies to this post. Rambling must be forgiven!
Rock & Roll T-Shirt from Carraway Clothing

I just got an email from Ryan at Carraway Clothing about their new summer line; and boy do I dig it (and that’s not just the couple highballs that I’ve drank talking!). I like the style very much. It reminds me a bit of Linty Fresh, which I really love. To be honest, I usually don’t wear these types of shirts (or graphic shirts in general…eeek), but, I do love looking at them. I’m more in love with the art style than the t-shirt itself. That probably sounds more like a negative than a positive, which isn’t the way I mean it. Basically, this design, as with much of the Carraway Clothing summer line, is awesome. You should buy it, unless you’re weird like me, and then you should just enjoy looking at it.
You can pick up the design for $22.00 at Carraway Clothing. Check out the rest of their summer line too, there is some good stuff. Ryan also offered me a troundup coupon, and I will update the post when/if I get the code.
P.S. I beg forgiveness for the rambling of this post. As I mentioned, I’m about three, strong highballs deep.
The Walkmen T-Shirt from Insound, Delicious Design Project #2

I recently posted about that awesome Best Coast t-shirt which came from Insound and Delicious Design’s collaboration project. That shirt was the first release from the duo of companies. Today, they’ve come back with a second release from another awesome band: The Walkmen. The Walkmen are a great band who I really enjoy. Funny story–I actually saw The Walkmen live twice at SXSW and XPN Festival before I ever actually listened to them. They put on a great show, and all their songs are quality. This, In the New Year, is probably my favorite song from them if you want a starting point.
As for the t-shirt design itself, I also dig that. It’s just got that simple yet creative flair that I enjoyed so much in the Best Coast shirt. I’m definitely adding this to my already overflowing (with vinyl) Insound cart. As with all the t-shirts from their collaboration, they’re printed in limited edition runs–so once they’re gone, they’re gone for good. Don’t dawdle! You can pick up the design for $19.99 at Insound. We’ve also got an Insound coupon code, which is currently active and good for 10% off your entire order. The shirt is printed on American Apparel. Oh yeah, be sure to check out The Walkmen as well.

Go Ape Shirts is at it again; and by “it”, I mean making really awesome t-shirts. Their latest offering, The Plumber’s Empire, delves into the much-loved world of Mario. The design depicts, in humorous and 8-bit stylized fashion, what Mario’s domain might look like on our very own planet Earth. I love both the concept and the execution–well done Go Ape Shirts! It’s also cool to check out where your home would lie on Mario’s map.
You can pick up this design for the fair price of $20.00 at the Go Ape Shirts store. It’s printed on American Apparel. Also, I apologize if this post is not written very good (sic). I know rambling abounds, and a few cliches decided to come along for the ride. However, I’m feeling fairly crappy right now, so the most elequent words are, perhaps, not flowing from my head that well. I’ll be back tomorrow with a vengeance, though!
Art vs Music T-Shirt from Poketo

This shirt is out of stock in everything but size Large, so I guess this post is a little bit of a tease. I dig the design though, and I wanted to share it with people anyway. Plus, if you are a size Large, it’s in stock and on sale. You’re welcome!
The design is simple–it’s just art fighting it out with music in the age old debate. I love the style of the design though, especially the geometric nature of the two figures. It looks super cool. Also, art kind of looks like its holding a lightsaber…so thumbs up for that.
You can pick up this design for the low sale price of $14.00 at the Poketo store. As I mentioned, it is unfortunately only in stock in a unisex/men’s Large.
P.S. Hopefully you have been taking advantage of the plethora of Independence Day t-shirt sales. If not, I would get on that.
Busted Tees Gets in on the Sale Action Too!

Not to be outdone by Threadless or Snorg Tees, Busted Tees has just jumped headfirst into the awesome pool of Independence day sales with their Patriotic Freedom Sale (how’s that for being American?). While their sale isn’t quite as cheap as Threadless, it’s still a great deal. All their shirts are on sale for $17.76 (get it?) AND you get free shipping. So while you only get about a $2.50 discount on the shirt itself, the fact that you get free shipping on any sized order makes this deal pretty sweet. You can order one or ten shirts and still get free shipping. Also, because the discount is already reflected on the site, you should be able to use Busted Tees coupons on your order, which will make the shirts even cheaper: $15.98 with free shipping, to be exact.
You have until July 5th at 12pm est (noon) to take advantage of this sale and pick up some Busted Tees shirts. Busted Tees are one of the top funny t-shirt sites on the ‘Net, and print all their designs on American Apparel.
$10 Sale at Threadless Starts Today! Plus a Snorg Tees 20% Off Sale

I’ve got two awesome sales to let you guys know about today. They come from two brands that I really like: Threadless and Snorg Tees.
I never thought we would see this again due to rising cotton prices, but, Threadless has just launched one of their bread-and-butter $10 t-shirt sales. Every single t-shirt at Threadless, new and old, is on sale for only $10.00 until July 5th at 11 am est. Talk about ringing in Independence Day in style. You don’t need any coupons or anything, just head over to Threadless and get started. We’ve also got a Threadless coupons page, although I’m fairly certain Threadless has disabled all coupons during the sale. Head over to Threadless and start buying some awesome tees for only $10.00.
In addition to the awesome Threadless sale, you’ve also got a great opportunity to save some money on Snorg Tees’ awesome funny shirts. Until tomorrow (Friday, July 1st), all Snorg Tees designs are on sale for 20% off. Snorg Tees rarely has sales or coupon codes, so you have to take advantage of their discounts whenever they come. So after picking up a bunch of Threadless shirts, maybe grab some Snorg Tees stuff to round out your collection (if ‘ya want to, that is). If you like math I bet you’ll find some designs you like.
Rude But Cool T-Shirt from Sir Mitchell

We take a break from troundup’s regularly scheduled t-shirt posting to bring you an incredibly cute t-shirt. This shirt reminds me of the awesome reclaimed mini-robots available on Etsy (which I will be buying one of soon). It’s just something about quirky looking robots–so cool. It also helps that he’s got the whole Teenage Mutant Ninja thing going on too.
If you share my affinity for cool little robots such as this one, you can pick it up for $23.00 at the Sir Mitchell store. Sir Mitchell prints their t-shirts on American Apparel blanks (score!).
