If you’re looking for something a little different than the daily updated t-shirt blog, with a little larger and more in-depth articles, then you might want to think about checking out T-shirt Magazine. It seems to be a sort of portal, featuring articles, forums, a directory, etc. An example of what you’ll find in the article category is how to start a t-shirt collection.
It’s a pretty cool concept, with a little more meat to it than a standard blog. The magazine is updated every Friday and you can check it out at T-Shirt Magazine.
Glennz has gotten a bunch of designs printed on Threadless, so I think it’s a pretty good decision for him to open up his very own store. Right now, he’s got nine different tees printed on American Apparel. He’s got an excellent selection, it’s the same style (mostly) as the quality prints you’d see on Threadless (which makes sense). You can check out all his shirts, including Split Personality, at his shop.
For your viewing pleasure, here’s another one I like. This one’s called Dangerous Games, I think you can see why.
This week is quite good for Threadless shirts. They reprinted a design that I’ve long wanted, as well as coming out with a great new one.
First, the one I wanted reprinted. Ever since I joined Threadless, I’ve been wishing they would reprint their Ctrl + Z shirt. Today, they did. That makes me happy.
Also this week, they released a new shirt that I really like, being Greek Mixology. The idea for this one is perfect, I just hope people will understand it without seeing the title.
Lastly, I figure I should mention this weeks super limited, super expensive shirt, entitled Decapitated Doomsday. It’s not really my cup of tee, but the concept of a unique (each one is individually dipped in dye), limited Threadless shirt is pretty cool.
Remember your Threadless coupon.
The Office is one of my favorite shows on TV right now (I feel like it has gone somewhat downhill, but it’s still hilarious). To commemorate what is soon to be its return to TV (this Thursday), I thought I would do a post with the best “The Office” t-shirts out there. Here they are, in no particular order. I hope you enjoy.
Do you also hold the position of Assistant (to the) Regional Manager? If so, get this shirt from Snorg Tees and show it off to the world. This one’s on American Apparel and can be bought by going here.
Kevin is perhaps (there are alot of good ones, it’s tough to choose) my favorite character from The Office. The way he delivers his lines is excellent. Show support for his band, Scrantonicity, by wearing this one. They rock. They definitely have the best Police covers I have ever heard. This one is also on American Apparel and can be bought at Snorg Tees.
Help spread awareness for Michael Scott’s Dunder Mifflin Scranton Meredith Palmer Memorial Celebrity Rabies Awareness Pro-Am Fun Run For The Cure by wearing this shirt. The title is quite a mouthful (that being the point). I think this came from the first episode of the 4th season, or thereabouts, and was actually worn in the show. This one comes from the official NBC store.
Not much to say about this one. It’s the Dunder Mifflin Paper Company logo. Pick it up at 80s Tees.
There were a lot of generic “Thats what she said” shirts out there. I went with this one because it actually has Michael, so people can see it’s from The Office. If not, I think you just end up looking like an idiot. This one also is at 80s tees.
If memory serves, this one is from the episode where Dwight demonstrates how lax the office security is by telling the tale of how he brought a potato gun into work. Can you imagine if he was deranged? Get this one at 80s tees.
So that’s all of The Office shirts I have for now. I hope you enjoy, and remember to watch the new episode this Thursday.
I was browsing around Etsy looking for t-shirts when I came across this gem from 1AEON. This is the kind of stuff you can only find on Etsy, you won’t really see this mass produced. This one is part of a limited edition, small run (it doesn’t say how small, but I’m sure there aren’t alot of them). It costs $30 and is printed on my favorite, American Apparel. You can pick this one up on Etsy.
Spencer from Vintage Vantage was kind enough to send me two tees to test out. First thing I noticed after opening up the package was how incredibly soft the shirts were. I don’t know where they get them (I wish I did, so I could buy mass amounts of them), but they’re amazing. I would be happy just wearing blanks – the designs are a nice bonus though (under exaggeration).
The designs I was sent are Army Men (below) and…
I got to pick both these designs, so naturally I’m a fan. All of their designs are quite good. They’re a vintage company, so obviously they have that vintage feel to them. I like that.
So, in summary, excellent designs + most comfortable shirts ever=awesome deal. Buy some. Also, they were kind enough to give me a coupon code. Use the code troundup for 21% off.
AND, they’re having a sale right now on some of their older shirts. If you combine that with the coupon code above, you’re looking at some exceedingly cheap t-shirts.
The Big Lebowski is one of my favorite movies ever. So when browsing around Urban Outfitters, I was naturally attracted to this shirt. Buy it and remember to vote The Dude for President in ’08. Also, if you haven’t seen The Big Lebowski, do that now. Right now, drop what you’re doing and watch it.
This one will cost you $28.00 at Urban Outfitters.
I’m a huge music fan, so I was looking for some way to incorporate this into the blog. I thought about it for a little and came up with an idea for a kind of mini-series of posts entitled Music Through Shirts. Every once in awhile, I’ll post up a shirt from a band that I like, and give some song recommendations and such. Today is the first one. We’ll begin with Sublime. I think they’re pretty well known, so you might have heard of them, if not, you should check them out.
This one is pretty much the quintessential Sublime shirt (at least it’s what I’ve seen most shirts to be like). It’s got the big sun (one of their album covers I believe) on the front, with the band name on the back. I think the sun is an excellent design. Some band shirts can be weak, but this one isn’t.
Now, for some recommended tracks:
What I Got
Hopefully you enjoy.
Matt McAllister holds the Guiness World Record for the number of shirts worn at one time. He managed to fit on a whopping 155 shirts, ranged from size small to 10XL. The entire process took 4 hours and added 100 pounds to his weight. I think that’s pretty damn impressive. You can watch the video below (don’t worry, it’s not 4 hours long, they condense the footage to just give a time lapse of each new shirt).
I don’t play a lot of video games anymore (I used to), but one that I will still break out occasionally is Defense of the Ancients (DotA). On a whim yesterday, I decided to see if there were any DotA shirts out there. Unsurprisingly (the game, or I guess mod? has a huge following), I found that there tons out there. So, if by chance you play DotA like me, you might want to check these out.
There’s a bunch (I mean TONS) more at Shirts of the Ancients. However, the guy is on vacation for now, so you’ll have to wait until he gets back to order.
