I was browsing 604 Republic’s design competition today and I came across this sweet comic book Ron Swanson t-shirt. Ron Swanson is the man, and I love the shirt concept, so I really hope that this gets printed. My only critique is that I think the design needs more focus on Ron’s mustache, as well as his character in general (it’s a little hard to see that it actually is Ron in the design). Check it:
Go vote on this bad boy so it can get printed!
I came across these two awesome Community t-shirts from Skreened a few days ago, and I was getting ready to post them up on troundup. Before I could do that, though, I got the great news that Community is coming back from their hiatus and will return to NBC on March 15th. I was ecstatic, as I love the show. I’d like to implore you all to watch the show, so that it can get the six seasons and a movie that it deserves (let’s not have another Arrested Development here…). I guess to sum things up…Community=Coming Back=Awesome. Here are the shirts:
This one requires you to have watched the show, otherwise it’s not funny at all, so sorry if that’s not you. If you’ve seen the show, it’s a very clever design, though uneccesary given the good news of Community’s return. For the non-viewers, to Britta something means “to make a mistake,” and is named after one of the show’s characters.
This next t-shirt is a logo for Greendale and their politically correct mascot, the Human Being. I actually own this shirt now, and will go around celebrating the Human Beings, especially now that they will be back on air for at least 13 more episodes.
So yeah, if you haven’t seen Community, now is your chance to catch up. You really have to watch from the beginning to realize the true hilarity of the show. You can watch every single episode on Hulu Plus, so there’s no excuse not to (well, I guess time…).
Trailer Park Boys is this ridiculous comedy series from Canada. I guess you could somewhat compare it to Eastbound and Down. That’s not perfect though–it really is its own, crazy show. The show is hilarious, and this t-shirt celebrates one of my favorite characters, Bubbles. He’s an interesting man, known for being a little eccentric and wearing huge glasses. Much like categorizing the show, Bubbles is very hard to describe. This video, The Best of Bubbles (warning, lots of bad language), might give you a little insight.
You can pick up the t-shirt from CraigJW on Etsy. It will cost you $19.00. CraigJW has lots of awesome shirts in this vein (portraits), so you will definitely be seeing stuff from him in the future. Give Trailer Park Boys a try too!
Ript Apparel, a design competition that sells one t-shirt a day, has just released a great Ron Swanson themed Parks and Recreation t-shirt. If you watch the show, you know how much Ron Swanson loves bacon. This t-shirt encapsulates that. The text reads “Indiana Farm Fresh Bacon.” What I really love though, is the illustration of Ron himself. He looks like a super badass (which is very much what he is). Overall, a very good Parks and Recreation t-shirt, which makes sense because Parks and Rec is a great show.
You can pick up the t-shirt for only a mere $10 at Ript Apparel. You only have 24 hours to purchase the shirt before it’s gone forever though. While you have to act quickly, you can be sure you won’t ever bump into someone wearing the same shirt!
604 Republic (a great t-shirt line) just released a batch of three shirts today, including this awesome Breaking Bad themed t-shirt called “HeISeNBeRgS”. In line with the show’s periodic table theme, the shirt depicts good old Walter White’s “mobile cuisine”. I love the concept of this shirt, and I think 604 Republic, as usual, executed it perfectly. The illustration of Walter, the “it’s about the art of cooking” slogan, and everything else is just great. It’s a really good t-shirt for a really good (nay, great) TV show–I might just have to buy this one!
You can pick up HeISeNBeRgS for $20.00 at the 604 Republic shop. There should be an active 604 Republic coupon on my page that will save you some money on that, though. 604 Republic is a witty, and somewhat geeky, line of t-shirts based out of Vancouver, Canada. Keep your eyes on them, because they rule. Also, watch Breaking Bad if you haven’t had the smarts to do so yet.
I’m a little late letting you guys know about this t-shirt as it’s only on sale for four more hours. I like it so much I had to post it anyway, though. It’s essentially an 80′s 8-bit interpretation of George R. R. Martin (and HBO’s) Game of Thrones series. It’s awesome. You can grab it within the next four hours for $10.00 at Tee Fury. That’s so cheap you have no reason not to pick it up!
I tweeted about this sweet Arrested Development shirt earlier today (I already own it, and I was wearing it today). Now I want to post about it. For fans, you probably remember the Big Yellow Joint jingle. Well…this t-shirt epitomizes all that is the Big Yellow Joint–I love it. I will definitely be wearing this shirt a ton, and I hope I get some comments.
You can grab this design for $26+ at Skreened, whom (who?) I’m coming to love more and more. They have a ton of great designs–cool artists just flock to them or something. Kudos, Skreened.
P.S. I’m gonna do my usual thing where I tell you to watch Arrested Development. Seriously, do it.
P.P.S. Yes, that is me in the awkward self-shot.
I love this Game of Thrones themed t-shirt from Busted Tees, and I thought it was a perfect post as we move closer and closer to Christmas. “Winter is Coming” is, of course, the slogan of the Starks. This shirt depicts that text, along with a wild looking Stark (is that Ned?) riding in a sleigh pulled by what look like direwolves. It’s a pretty funny shirt if you follow the show…if you don’t, well, start watching (or reading of course). I also like the idea of Ned delivering presents–it’s a funny picture.
You can grab this design for $20 at Busted Tees. If you spend a minimum of $40, you can also get free overnight shipping with the code “FREEOVERNIGHT” and get it in time for Christmas. But yeah, I love this shirt, and I think it’s a great way to celebrate Christmas (or the holidays).
I was a little shocked, and very happy, when I opened Busted Tees’ new release newsletter earlier today. Why would they make a t-shirt based on show that got cancelled years ago? Well, I don’t know why, but I sure am glad they did it. Party Down, the show this design pulls its inspiration from, is a super funny and intelligent comedy that starred Mr. Adam Scott (who is currently bringing his humor to another great show, Parks and Recreation). In the show, He’s a failed actor famous for his embarrassing beer commercial slogan of, you guessed it, “Are We Having Fun Yet?!?” This shirt immortalizes those words for all of eternity, and ties in the signature Party Down bow-tie for good measure. I think this shirt is absolutely awesome and totally hilarious, though I understand you probably have to be familiar with the show to enjoy it as much as I do.
After you’ve plowed through both seasons of Party Down (conveniently available for instant streaming on Netflix), buy this shirt from Busted Tees for only $20.00, a small price to pay for the enjoyment it will bring to other Party Down fans. Needless to say (though I’m gonna say it anyway), this shirt will probably be a huge hit at parties and other events where beer is being consumed, as well as life in general. Also, remember to use a Busted Tees coupon to save some money.
So yeah, plop down on your couch and watch some Party Down–you won’t regret it.
Dire Brew is one craft beer I would love to get my hands on. It’s also a brilliant t-shirt from the people over at 604 Republic. I think it rivals the Damn it Feels Good to be a Lannister t-shirt I posted in the past as my favorite Game of Thrones t-shirt.
If you’re familiar with the Game of Thrones series (book or TV), you know that the Starks are a fairly bad-ass family from up North in Winterfell. Along with fighting other families, they’ve also started brewing their own Winter Lager called Direwolf (according to 604 Republic at least). I think the concept is great (I could see the Stark’s making beer), and the execution is even better. It looks 100% like a craft beer label, especially from afar. Once people get close they’ll notice the Game of Thrones reference and like it even more. Kudos to you, 604 Republic, for making a great t-shirt.
You can pick up your own Dire Brew t-shirt from the 604 Republic store. It will cost you a mere $19.95 for a six-pack (or t-shirt). I’ve also got a 604 Republic promo code which should lower your order by a solid 15%, making the design only about $17. Pick it up so you can wear it when Game of Thrones season 2 starts!
