I was a little shocked, and very happy, when I opened Busted Tees’ new release newsletter earlier today. Why would they make a t-shirt based on show that got cancelled years ago? Well, I don’t know why, but I sure am glad they did it. Party Down, the show this design pulls its inspiration from, is a super funny and intelligent comedy that starred Mr. Adam Scott (who is currently bringing his humor to another great show, Parks and Recreation). In the show, He’s a failed actor famous for his embarrassing beer commercial slogan of, you guessed it, “Are We Having Fun Yet?!?” This shirt immortalizes those words for all of eternity, and ties in the signature Party Down bow-tie for good measure. I think this shirt is absolutely awesome and totally hilarious, though I understand you probably have to be familiar with the show to enjoy it as much as I do.
After you’ve plowed through both seasons of Party Down (conveniently available for instant streaming on Netflix), buy this shirt from Busted Tees for only $20.00, a small price to pay for the enjoyment it will bring to other Party Down fans. Needless to say (though I’m gonna say it anyway), this shirt will probably be a huge hit at parties and other events where beer is being consumed, as well as life in general. Also, remember to use a Busted Tees coupon to save some money.
So yeah, plop down on your couch and watch some Party Down–you won’t regret it.
As usual, Glennz is serving us up some witty hilarity. This one, entitled Water Bomb Squad, doesn’t require much explanation. It’s just the kind of goofy humor that I enjoy so much, and I’m hoping you enjoy as well. As usual, his illustrations are excellent and really allow the humor to shine. It’s just a great tee–which is what I’ve come to expect from Glennz.
The reason I chose to feature this design now is that it’s currently on the “Save Wave” at Glennz. What the “Save Wave” actually means can be easily answered by looking at the top of Glennz’s site, but for our purposes the only important thing to know is that this design is on sale for only $14.95. It’s only on sale for that low price for a limited time though, so don’t wait around and miss out. So yeah–pick up this hilarious t-shirt for only $14.95 at the Glennz site.
I really enjoy quality typography t-shirts, and from what I’ve seen so far, 8teeSix seems to deliver that. They just recently launched and currently have three designs out. The design I’ve featured is available in two colorways, so they’ve got a total of four shirts for sale. I think it’s a pretty creative type, and I like that it kind of looks like those peel-off Twizzlers (that’s probably not the right term, but whatever. I don’t know anything about art). Cool stuff.
You can grab this design, Life, for 20 Pounds (damn you exchange rate!) from 8teeSix. As usual, I invite you to check out their other designs as well. Enjoy!
Dire Brew is one craft beer I would love to get my hands on. It’s also a brilliant t-shirt from the people over at 604 Republic. I think it rivals the Damn it Feels Good to be a Lannister t-shirt I posted in the past as my favorite Game of Thrones t-shirt.
If you’re familiar with the Game of Thrones series (book or TV), you know that the Starks are a fairly bad-ass family from up North in Winterfell. Along with fighting other families, they’ve also started brewing their own Winter Lager called Direwolf (according to 604 Republic at least). I think the concept is great (I could see the Stark’s making beer), and the execution is even better. It looks 100% like a craft beer label, especially from afar. Once people get close they’ll notice the Game of Thrones reference and like it even more. Kudos to you, 604 Republic, for making a great t-shirt.
You can pick up your own Dire Brew t-shirt from the 604 Republic store. It will cost you a mere $19.95 for a six-pack (or t-shirt). I’ve also got a 604 Republic promo code which should lower your order by a solid 15%, making the design only about $17. Pick it up so you can wear it when Game of Thrones season 2 starts!
While this shirt is a bit of a departure from most of the designs I post on troundup, I nonetheless dig it very much. Much like Tom Haverford’s fascination with “the shapes” on Parks and Recreation, I find myself thoroughly enjoying these stripes. Something about them just attracts me. It makes me feel like I’m swaddled in a cacoon of plush love (ok, maybe a bit hyperbolic. It’s close though). I dunno–I think the designer just has his or her shapes down. It’s cool stuff.
You can pick it up for 22.90 Euro at Home is Where The Heart Is. The shirt would be coming to you from Germany.
P.S. I was bummed I couldn’t find the video of Aziz talking about the shapes on Parks and Recreation If anyone knows where to locate it please let me know.
This post is not intended to be political (not even in the slightest). Rather, I wanted to share this design because I love horrible puns, and this t-shirt made me laugh pretty hard (I know it’s a ridiculous pun–that’s what makes it funny!). I just find the juxtaposition of Black Walnut (Herman Cain) with a Scorpions song pretty funny. So yeah, excuse the horrible pun, but it made me laugh, and maybe it will do the same for you.
If you like the pun so much you want to rock it on your chest, you can snag it for $23.95 from Zazzle. I will do my best to apolitically post some more “funny” (in my opinion, at least) political t-shirts as the election process drags on. I’ve also got a page that lists a bunch of Zazzle coupons to help you save some money. They’ve had some pretty awesome coupon codes lately.
I’m checking in today to post up another sweet t-shirt that has been lurking around my “Get Reviewed” Inbox. The design, entitled From the Ashes, comes from Another Safe Landing. I hadn’t heard of these guys previously, but I definitely enjoy their stuff. This design is both their newest release, and my favorite of their offerings. Astronauts are an inherently awesome topic, and the way they illustrated him/her makes it even cooler. My favorite element is definitely the moon’like body of the astronaut. That, combined with the general style of the design, is quite awesome.
You can pick up From the Ashes for only $24.00. They print on American Apparel 2001 blanks (super comfortable). While you’re at the site check out the rest of their stuff as well–they’ve got some pretty cool designs. I look forward to what they come up with in the future.
After posting about Busted Tees’ Halloween sale yesterday, I just found out that Threadless is running their own Halloween t-shirt sale party. Until next Monday at 10am central, all Halloween t-shirts at Threadless are on sale for only $10 (50%). While it’s not a site-wide $10 sale, they did choose a lot of t-shirts to be included under the “Halloween” label. There are a little under fifty designs you can save on, which is a pretty solid selection. My favorite of the bunch would probably be Scr-Emo, but there are some other great designs.
To summarize–until Monday at 10am CT you can get all Halloween t-shirts at Threadless for only $10 each–that, my friends, is a spooky good deal. You can also get free shipping in the US when you spend $60 or more.
As usual, I’ve still got the Threadless coupon code page, although I don’t think they have any current active coupons
Busted Tees just launched their Spooktacular Halloween sale earlier today. During the sale, sixteen different t-shirts are on sale for only $12.99. While it’s not a store-wide sale (if only), they do have some of their great designs on sale, like the “Finkle” Ace Ventura t-shirt and the awesome “Brains” and “Walken on Sunshine” designs from Go Ape Shirts (who Busted Tees carries). The Monopoly/Gandalf themed shirt is also definitely worth checking out. So basically, these are not designs that they’re simply trying to clean out. Rather, some of my favorite Busted Tees designs are available for only $12.99.
Check out all sixteen t-shirts and save some moolah. You can save even more by using my list of Busted Tees coupons–I’ve just updated it, so you’re definitely getting the best and most recent coupons.
As I was slowly (and not very surely) going through my troundup emails, I came across this brand, Roamers Clothing. The line is made up of three partners–from Kansas City, New York City, and Miami respectively. They’ve only got four designs currently, but I can already tell that I’m going to be a fan of them going forward. I chose this one, a parody of the New York Times logo, as my favorite. I like the play on words, and I like commemorating good times. Hence, I like this tee.
You can pick the design up from Roamers Clothing for $25.99. All US customers get free shipping, which makes deal a little sweeter. I recommend you check out their other designs as well, as I enjoyed all of them–especially the James Bond themed shirt.
