33% Off at Design by Humans On Top of Their Sale–Tees for $10

I have a bunch of DBH dollars built up. I have more than I could ever spend myself, so I’m going to be offering you guys a pretty good deal (in my opinion). I will give you 33% off your DBH order. During the sale, this makes the vast majority of Design by Humans t-shirts only $10. That’s pretty dang cheap in my opinion. All you have to do is contact me via my page and I’ll give you more details. Basically, you pay me via PayPal, and then I place the order with my DBH Dollars and have it shipped to you.

There are a few restrictions on this offer, but nothing too disappointing in my opinion:

1. You cover the shipping costs. Design by Humans doesn’t allow me to use DBH Dollars to cover shipping, so that has to be covered by you.
2. I will only offer 33% for for the first $250 worth of purchases. After that, I will only offer 25% off. That means if 5 people place $50 orders, it goes down to 25% off. It also means that if one person places  $250 order it will go down as well. However it divides up–once I spend $250 in DBH dollars the discount drops down to 25% off (which is still a great deal in my opinion).
3. This comes up a lot–I cannot stack 10% coupons on top of the deal. Design by Humans doesn’t allow you to combine DBH dollars with coupons. You’ll have to be content with 33% (or potentially 25%) off.

I love this t-shirt. I burst out at laughing as soon as I saw the title (I Hate Taking the Bus to Work). It’s just my kind of humor I guess. Not only is the concept funny, but I think the person (creature?) looks absolutely ridiculous, in a good way. I mean…that mustache? C’mon! Frankly, the image by itself makes me laugh. The title is just the gravy on top of the mashed laughing.

I just wish they were in the USA so there would be no shipping/Euro pains. They’re the same people who sell Evil Scream, which is one of my favorite designs. Free Shipping at Threadless + 25% Off Deal

With the 25% off at Threadless deal still running (according to troundup commentators at least), Threadless has decided to up the stakes even further. In addition to the 25% off, shoppers can now also get free domestic shipping, and $6 international shipping on orders $60+. This is actually a fairly big deal, as shipping costs can add up quick at Threadless, especially when you’re ordering a bunch of t-shirts (and it’s Threadless, so you’re pretty much always buying a bunch of shirts). I don’t think there’s any code or anything–just spend $60 or more and get your free shipping. Washed Out Band T-Shirt–Insound and Delicious Design Project #3

Sorry for the delay in posting–I’ve been travelling back and forth between houses and it’s slowed me down a bit. I’m back though, and ready to dive into things with renewed vigor! Doesn’t that sound fun? Anyway, I wanted to start with the third offering from the awesome Insound and Delicious Design collaboration project. If you haven’t heard, the collaboration creates unique and extremely limited edition t-shirts for various bands. This t-shirt is for the band Washed Out, who I’m not very familiar with. I’ve heard a few of their songs and remember liking them, but that’s about it. What’s more important though, is that I like the design and I like what Insound and Delicious Design are doing, so I’m going to support them. If you’re a fan of Washed Out, you should probably buy this shirt, because it’s awesome. It also supports a cool website, slangin’ the vinyl like it’s the 60s.

Even if I didn’t know this was a band t-shirt, I would still like it. The bullseye looks awesome, and I love how they have the “W” cutting through it. The design looks great! You can pick it up for $19.99 from the Insound store. Remember, the design is very limited, so they won’t be around forever, and you won’t see a bunch of strangers wearing it. Also remember that we have an Insound coupon code page, which usually has a coupon good for 10% off (although I think that just expired, unfortunately). A Few T-Shirts to Celebrate Shark Week

The glorious reason for living that is Shark Week is almost upon us. In two days, Discovery Channel will be swimming (shitty pun…) in a metric ton of shark programming. Now, one could let last years disappointing Shark Week impostor (what the hell was that, Discovery? I want more than just shark attack shows) get in the way of their excitement. I will not do that though. I have faith that Discovery will get back on the horse and actually teach me about sharks. I wanna see sharks, not the same five people who got attacked by sharks. Plus, it gives sharks an undeserved bad rep. So, despite these lamentations, I will still muster up the excitement that Shark Week has commanded in the past. As such, I wanted to write this post up with just a few cool shark week t-shirts. If you order quickly enough you might be able to get them in time for the festivities.

This first one, Live Every Week Like It’s Shark Week from Jon Kruse at Mediocore Clothing, is most definitely my all-time favorite Shark Week t-shirt. It manages to combine two awesome things–Shark Week and 30 Rock–into one great t-shirt. I already own this tee, and I will be doing my best to wear it all week.

This second tee, A Day to Remember from Victory Records, also manages to bring in the 30 Rock quote. They also depict very well what Shark Week was last year–a bunch of Sharks chomping down on unsuspecting humans. I love the sheer carnage going on in this shirt. It’s officially my second favorite Shark Week shirt. It costs $20.00 and is printed on American Apparel.

I don’t like this design quite as much as the previous two shirts. Still, if you like sharks, you can show it with this shirt. It’ll run you $26.97 at Palmercash.

It’s surprisingly difficult to find good Shark Week t-shirts on the Internet. There is an abundance of crappy designs, but only a few good ones. If I missed a cool shark shirt please let me know. This post isn’t meant to be comprehensive or anything, but I’m always looking to add quality Shark Week tees to my posting catalog.

Peguei! Yoda T-Shirt from Camiseta: Star Wars

So…I really dig this Yoda t-shirt from the Portugese (I think) brand, Camiseta. I think Camiseta translates into “shirt”, so these guys are pretty literal in naming their company. Anyway, this is one of my favorite Star Wars t-shirts ever, which is saying something given how many awesome and witty Star Wars t-shirts there are out there. This one is just great–I feel like blending Yoda and Kung-Fu was a pre-determined stop on the natural progression of the Internet. If you can’t see because of the images size–Yoda is catching a fly-like X-Wing with a pair of chopsticks. Comedy ensues.

I love how much detail they went into with depicting Yoda–you see every little wrinkle, and it looks super realistic. I also like how he looks very much like the Karate Kid trainer guy (dunno his name). The headband definitely helps achieve this. This is one of the designs where I think the concept itself is great, but the implementation is even better. Kudos for making a truly unique and awesome Star Wars t-shirt, guys!

The only slight negative to this t-shirt is the price. It will cost you a fairly hefty $55.00 to pick it up. While this may be quite an investment, I think it’s worth it if you’ve got the money, as the design friggin’ rules. They even let you split it into two payments of $27.50, if that makes it easier for you (I’ve never seen an installment payment plan on t-shirts before!). Check this awesome design out at the Camiseta store–the small pictures on this post don’t do it justice.

Let me know in the comments if you like this t-shirt as much as I do! I really do think it’s the bees’ knees–certainly one of my favorite shirts in a long time. Maybe I’m just weird though…

The Escape T-Shirt from the Edgar McHerly Shop

I just found out about Edgar R. McHerly’s t-shirt shop…and I’m in looooove with his style. He’s got that quirky touch that I’m such a big fan of. The little slogan on the site is “Don’t be surprised if the people in your head try to escape one day,” which I’d say is a pretty legitimate description of what’s happening in the shirt.

If you like this t-shirt, you should check out the rest of Edgar’s designs, as they won’t let you down. The prices are also fairly cheap–you can pick up The Escape for only $15.00. It’s printed on a lime American Apparel unisex tee (which is an awesome, awesome color. Trust me). Enjoy!

Two Awesome Jukebox the Ghost T-Shirts

This past weekend I attended the XPoNential Music Festival, right across the Deleware from Philadelphia in beautiful Camden, NJ (well…partially beautiful). One of the acts I saw was Jukebox the Ghost. After watching their awesome set, I checked out the merch tent by the stage and was incredibly impressed with the style and quality of their t-shirt designs. It’s like these things were made for my sensibilities. Anyway, after hanging around that merch tent I knew what was getting posted on troundup! Here are the two Jukebox the Ghost t-shirts they had at the show, both of which I really like.

This first one, Lineghost, is my favorite (although I really like both of them). I think it’s a bold move to not actually put the full name of the band on the shirt in text. It shows they care more about creating a shirt worthy of being worn than increasing their brand awareness. The design is simple and quirky and awesome. You can pick it up for the low price of $15.00 at Jukebox the Ghost’s merch store.

This is the second Jukebox the Ghost t-shirt from the show, and I also love it. It’s got a little more going on than the first one. Again, I love the style. The ghosts are just so simple and goofy looking–it’s great. You can also pick this one up for $15.00 from the merch store.

Jukebox the Ghost put on a helluva show, so you should definitely check them out live if you ever get the chance. If not, just buy their awesome band shirts and check out some of their recordings.

25% Off at Threadless!!! OMG!!!

I’ve got some more great Threadless news–they just announced a promotion that will get you 25% off all orders $25+. Threadless is really pulling out all the discount stops this year. Things got off to a slow start, with very few sales up until May, and then boom! They’ve been firing off discount after discount. While not quite as good as that $10 sale we just had, a 25% discount is pretty crazy. While the graphic says “25% off Magic”, you get 25% off every t-shirt Threadless sells. The only requirement is that your purchase be $25+. Here’s how to get the discount:

1. Click my Threadless affiliate link to head to the website. No, I’m not just fishing for commissions (although I do love them)–Threadless has hard coded the discount into the affiliate link. In addition, the discount is only coded into some of the affiliate links. The links in this post are all the proper type, though.

–If the link doesn’t work by itself, try clicking the link AND using the coupon code affiliate1107. Combining the two should get you the discount. The link will get you the cookie, and the coupon will activate the discount if needed.

CA, NY T-Shirt from Eddie Tsai on Kickstarter

Eddie just emailed me about his cool new “Where Are You From? CA, NY or Other” t-shirt. Speaking as someone living in Philadelphia, I’m not sure I can fully agree with the sentiment, but I’m guessing this t-shirt would be especially relevant in the film industry. Even if I don’t entirely agree, I still think it’s a cool and clever design worthy of being checked out.

Rather than a traditional store, Eddie is selling is design through Kickstarter, and the first 25 orders are allowed to pay whatever they want. As with all Kickstarter projects, the shirts won’t get printed unless the goal of $1,000 is reach. Of course, if the goal isn’t reached you won’t be charged anything, so there’s no risk. Anyway, check it out and help him out if you like the shirt, ’cause Eddie still has a bit of a ways to go. The shirt is also a limited run–so you won’t be seeing it all over the place. I’m guessing most of the shirts will be concentrated in California and New York.
