I’m stopping by on my way out tonight to let y’all know about a great new t-shirt brand called Goodfibres. Not only do they have some excellent shirts, but they’re also “Designed With Purpose.” Here’s a little explanation of what this means from their site:
No, we’re not just another t-shirt site. We like good design and fashion but we also think that, as artists, and friends of artists, we can do something big by teaming up our collective voice to help people who need it. Firstly, we aim to help the artists who participate – we do this in many ways, but mainly by allowing every designer to retain the rights to their artwork and by giving them 10% of the proceeds on each sale. Next, we want our artists and customers to feel that they are participating in something that is making a difference so we will match every purchase by donating to a community in need.
I’m always happy to support a store with great designs, and even happier when that store also donates to communities in need. I’ve chosen two of my favorite designs above, but I recommend you dig through the site in its entirety because there really are some great designs. You can pick up some cool tees and help some people out at the same time. The shirts typically cost 25 Pounds (dang exchange rate!). Goodfibres is based in Shoreditch, London and will definitely be featured more on troundup in the future.
P.S. If I go offline in the next few days it’s because the “rapture-es” Hurricane Irene will be storming through Philadelphia.
The $10.00 sale just ended at Threadless, but that doesn’t mean you’re out of options to save money. They just relaunched their 25% off offer, which will give you a couple more weeks of discounts. This is very similar to the offer from before. Once again, the offer is tied through affiliate links–so you have to click the link to get the 25% off orders $25+. I feel the need to reiterate–this is not some elaborate scheme for me to get clicks, I’m just following the directions they gave me. So, to get the 25% discount at Threadless, here’s what you need to do by September 5th (when the discount expires).
- Click my Threadless affiliate link (or the image above) to head to the website.
- Shop in the window that opens just as you usually would. At the top of the page, you should see text saying that you’ll get 25% off at checkout.
- Check out through the process like normal and you should get that sweet, sensual feeling of a 25% discount.
- $25 gift certificate=$18.75
- $50 gift certificate=$37.50
- $100 gift certificate=$75.00
I was doing my usual browse around Etsy earlier today when I came across this awesome Star Wars t-shirt gem. It’s a masterpiece of absurdity. Darth Vader riding a bicycle is just as funny on a t-shirt as I thought it would be. I love it.
You can pick up this design for $23.00 from Iron Spider’s store on Etsy. It’s printed on American Apparel.
I posted a few days ago about Threadless’ Back to School sale. When I made that post, all their shirts were on sale for $12.00. Well, I just got an email today letting me know that they’ve upgraded their sale, and all their t-shirts are only $10.00 now! They also gave an expiration date for the sale: August 23rd. To sum it up, all of Threadless’ t-shirts are on sale for $10.00 until 8/23. Buy buy buy!
P.S. All their hoodies are also on sale for 20% off, which is great with Fall just around the corner.
I was sifting through my incredibly overfull inbox tonight when I came across this great new brand called Pistols in Paradise. It’s got an urban feel to it, but it’s also got something else that appeals to me. I don’t usual like urban/street t-shirts but I dig pretty much all of these. You’ll have to just check out the designs yourself to get what I’m saying.
As I said, I like most of the designs I saw. I think this one is my favorite though–a combination creature of Biggie and Shakespeare. The shirt works on two levels for me. First, it’s just goofy…because it’s Shakespeare’s head on Notorious B.I.G.’s body. But, it also works because both men are poets in their own way, even if the delivery differs a bit.
Anyway, I’m a fan of Pistols in Paradise. You can pick up this design, as well as check out their other stuff, at their store. All their t-shirts cost $19.00 each.
Sorry for posting two sales in a row–I’ve been travelling so I haven’t had time to post regularly. But, this is a big deal, so I had to make a special effort to get this post up and let you guys know. Threadless just launched one of their awesome $12.00 tee sales! The 25% off discount at Threadless just expired, making me sad. But then I check today and find Threadless is running a $12.00 sale, and my eyes light up! Threadless has really been laying on the discounts heavily the past few months, it’s great stuff. I don’t see an expiration date, so I’m not sure when this ends. All I know is that every single t-shirt at Threadless only costs $12.00, so you should take advantage of this as soon as possible so you don’t miss out. Also, remember that popular designs often sell out during sales, so you don’t wanna wait too long to put your order in.
To sum up, Threadless just launched a store-wide, $12.00 t-shirt sale. I’m not sure when this sale will end. We’ve got a Threadless coupon code page, but Threadless typically disables all of their coupons during sales, so that probably won’t help you. Get your order in quickly, ’cause you never know when the sale might end, or when that shirt you want so much may sell out!
Expect a bunch more great back to school sales in the coming weeks. I will do my best to post them up as I become aware of them. Hopefully I can save you guys some money and get you some cool tees.
Busted Tees has just launched a 24 hour back-to-school sale. For 24 hours only, all t-shirts at Busted Tees are on sale for only $12.99. This is a pretty huge difference from their usual $20 price. Additionally, you can also stack a Busted Tees coupon on top of the sale for another 10% off, making the shirts only $11.70–super cheap. Remember though, the sale only lasts until 8/12 at Noon, est. You don’t have any time to lollygag around! So yeah, enjoy your super cheap Busted Tees shirts, but be sure to get your order in by noon tomorrow.
**UPDATE** The sale is extended until tomorrow, Saturday 8/13 at Noon Est. You have an extra 24 hours to get some super cheap Busted Tees t-shirts.
Hopefully you guys know how much I love Arrested Development by now. It’s definitely my favorite TV show. The writing is just amazing, and it has a superb cast as well. I love how every time I re-watch an episode I catch some new, funny detail. Given this fact, I was pretty ecstatic when I saw that Teefury had just released an Arrested Development t-shirt, especially one based on the Inc 500 company, Gobias Industries.
This shirt has some great references. In addition to the Gobias angle, the text at the top reads “Sudden Valleys Finest Coffee”, which is another hilarious bit from the show. You’ve got the doves and the cards from Gob as well, and the illustration of Tobias and Gob is quirky and great. I definitely dig this design. In fact, I’ve already purchased it!
In addition to being a hilarious and awesome t-shirt, it also has a great price. You can pick it up for only $10.00 from Teefury. As with all Teefury shirts, though, it is only for sale for 24 hours and then it’s gone forever. You have about 20 hours left to buy at the time of this posting. Don’t miss out on a great design for a low price.
Headline Shirts is starting a nice little line of shirts with outlandish and made up quotes from respected literary masters. Their “Shakespeare: This Shit Writes Itself” t-shirt is a classic, and now they added Mr. Mark Twain to the list. Mark Twain makes quite a few appearances on “top quotes” lists, but I doubt this little statement would make such compilations. Apparently Twain had a slightly more immature side, and was known for his epic “that’s what she saids”. I don’t think this one is as funny as the Shakespeare quote, but I definitely still enjoyed it. I hope they continue to make more of these designs, as I love the juxtaposition between respected writers and ridiculous quotes. I imagine you’d get quite a few confused stares if you wore this shirt around.
If you share my like for this concept and want to pick up the design, it will cost you $24.00 at Headline Shirts. We’ve also got a Headline Shirts coupon code, which should save you some solid money if you’re buying two or more shirts. As with all of Headline Shirts’ designs, you should definitely check out the product description–they’re often quite hilarious.
I was browsing around Sub Pop earlier today amassing an overflowing cart of awesome vinyl albums, when I came across this gem of a t-shirt. It’s got one of those wacky characters that I love so much. I also am a fan of the “down for life” slogan. I dunno, I just like it. This shirt was originally released at the Pitchfork Festival. Now, I may have a simmering dislike (I didn’t say hatred!) for Pitchfork, but that doesn’t mean I can’t dig this shirt. Plus, I love Sub Pop, and that’s the actual name on the t-shirt. I love them not only because their awesome lineup of bands, but because they still churn out really cool vinyl releases.
You can grab this design for $18.00 at the Sub Pop store. It’s printed on a white American Apparel 50/50 blend t-shirt. The designer is Ryan Duggan, from Chicago. I’m gonna try to find some more of his stuff–I’m hoping he designs t-shirts fairly regularly.
