Hawt damn–it’s March Mania at Threadless. If you thought March Madness was cool, check this out: All t-shirts at Threadless are only $10 until 10 am CT on March 23rd. That doesn’t give you time to lollygag (sorry, I was late in notifying people!).
Much like Goodie2Sleeves, Palmercash is donating very generously to victims of the Earthquake in Japan. They’ve created a Japan-themed set of shirts and are going to donate 100% of the profits from those shirts to help Japan recover. Again, this is incredibly generous, and if you see something you like, you should buy it. You get something cool and also help people in need.
Here’s a message from Palmercash with a little more information:
PalmerCash has a really deep connection to Japan between customers, stores we sell to, friends, family, and I even lived there for a while. We are hoping to make a big impact with these shirts that can give people a way to donate money, but also show solidarity and support as things hopefully get better over there! We are using the Prefecture and City symbols from the hardest hit areas on the tees so that people can represent a part of Japan that was devastated and also have a nice looking shirt!
This shirt is hilarious. Soccer is my favorite sport, and I love hooligans (as long as they’re not hurting things too much)…so it’s a bi-winning shirt. I love that the hooligan has a cigar in his mouth, even as he’s about to get billy-clubbed. Maybe Americans would like soccer a bit more if it were more like this shirt.
If you wanna celebrate your love of hooligans (and soccer), pick this shirt up for $20.00 from Headline Shirts. We’ve also got Headline Shirts coupons for you to save some money (always cool, right?).
P.S. We’ve got a t-shirt giveaway from Headline Shirts coming up, so that’ll be cool I think.
Yesterday, March 17th, was troundup’s fourth birthday. That’s a long time…I started blogging about t-shirts back in 2007 when I was 16 and now I’m 20. I’ve had troundup for ~20% of my lifespan. That’s kinda cool, eh?
Over troundup’s four years, I’ve written 672 posts, for an average of .46 posts a day. I can do better than that I think, but that’s still a lot of posts (I’d like to think so at least).
According to Wikipedia, here are some other things that happened in 2007 (when troundup started):
- April 14 – Retired chess champion Garry Kasparov is detained in Moscow for participating in a banned march.
- June 1 – A 2,100-year-old melon is discovered by archaeologists in western Japan
- September 14 – The SELENE spacecraft launches. JAXA has called the mission, “the largest lunar mission since the Apollo program.”
- October 24 – In the space of a few hours, Comet Holmes develops a coma and flares up to half a million times its former brightness, becoming visible to the naked eye. Its coma later becomes larger in volume than the Sun, making it the second comet to do so in 2007 after Comet McNaught.
- December 19 – Vladimir Putin, President of Russia, is announced as Time magazine’s 2007 Person of the Year.
Remember when all that happened? It seems like a million years ago (especially the melon…).
Anyway, I’d just like to thank everyone for reading, and I hope you will still be reading when troundup’s fifth birthday rolls around.
This shirt made me laugh right away–it’s just super goofy. I don’t know how Busted Tees think up shirts like this, but I’m glad they do. The two guys fencing are actually a pretty funny image as well, when placed in the context. Are you down to fence? Because I think I’m DTF.
I also like the little slogan on the shirt page which reads, “Why are you all laughing when I say ‘sword thrust?’” It’s innuendo!
P.S. Tomorrow (March 17th) is troundup’s 4th birthday! Hooray! Expect a little post to celebrate. Nothing too special though.
I’ve talked about my love for The Big Lebowski before, and, well…that hasn’t changed. I especially dig this one because of the 8-bit graphics. It’s just awesome–I love the action shot of him bowling (which looks like it came straight from an old video game), and the closeup is pretty cool itself. It’s just a quality design, especially for the Big Lebowski aficionado.
If you’re interested, you can pick this one up for $22 at MySoti. It’s designed by the artist Jude Buffum, who makes many more of these cool 8-bit designs. He’s done designs for other Big Lebowski characters (not the proper nomenclature!), as well as Office Space and a few others. I recommend you check them out too.
If you’ve been following the news, you know how horrific the earthquake in Japan has been. It’s important to try to help those people, and that’s why I was so happy to see this offer from Goodie Two Sleeves. They will be donating 100% of their proceeds (yes, all of their profit) from March to earthquake victims in Japan. This is incredibly generous. They haven’t chosen which charity they will donate to yet, but Gabe tells me it will most likely be the Red Cross.
Go over to Goodie Two Sleeves, pick up some cool shirts, and help earthquake victims. It’s probably the easiest way to donate ever thought up.
My other Charlie Sheen t-shirt post was such a huge attraction that I decided to give the people what they want, and make a list of every Charlie Sheen t-shirt that I can find. I already posted about those awesome Skreened quote-based Charlie Sheen shirts, but now I’m going to do every shirt there is (or that I can find). I’m also going to sprinkle in some more of my favorite quotes from his statements. Remember, live the Sheen Dream! I hope you enjoy:
Are you afflicted with bi-winning just like Charlie? If so, get yourself a prescription with this shirt from Rocks Off.
This one is just a little Sheen portrait, but I really like that they made his face blue. Check it out!
“If they do discover my blood to be tiger blood, I hope that nobody will be shocked!”
Another blue face shirt, this time with the Winning statement below is face. You can buy this one from Barstool Sports.
If you can’t read the text of this one, it says “I’m on a drug…it’s called Charlie Sheen.” I don’t think I could handle the drug called Charlie Sheen. If you think you can, though, buy this one from Donkey Ts.
I really like Kid Cudi. I posted that awesome Cudi portrait from The Cooler Collective a little while back, and now I’m going to partake in a little more Cudi love. This one is essentially the album cover, and I thoroughly dig it. I just think it’s an iconic image (even though Cudi ain’t quite at that icon status yet). The face on the moon was a great album cover, and it translates into a great shirt.
You can pick this one up from Karmaloop for $20.00. If you haven’t given Kid Cudi a listen yet, I recommend you do. Pursuit of Happiness and Revofev are good places to start in my opinion. We’ve also got a Karmaloop coupon good for 20% off your order, making the shirt only $16.
If you haven’t heard what’s been happening with Charlie Sheen lately, you need to find out, and then berate yourself for not knowing about it sooner. He’s become incredibly outspoken, in a crazy person type of way. Yet, I still can’t stop myself from saying, “Wow…that man is saying a lot of badass things, sprinkled between a lot of crazy things.” Here’s an illuminating video with some great lines, but if you’re more of a reader, here a few of my favorite quotes from him:
Here’s my personal favorite:
My conduct is bitchin’, my condition is perfect.
Some insight into his life:
I’m tired of pretending my life isn’t perfect and bitchin’ and winning every second.
His party style:
“[I was] bangin’ 7-gram rocks and finishing them because that’s how I roll. I have one speed, one gear … go!” and “I am on a drug, it’s called ‘Charlie Sheen.’ It’s not available ’cause if you try it once you will die. Your face will melt off, and children will weep over your exploded body.”
I’m bi-winning. I win here, I win there.
I could go on forever, but I’ll stop there in the interest of space. Suffice it to say, it’s a comedy gold mine. That’s why I’m so happy someone made this awesome collection of shirts. The shirts display one of Charlie’s quotes, or his face in some cases, with the text “Live the Sheen Dream” below. I’ve gotta say, I wouldn’t mind livin’ the Sheen Dream now and then, and I’m 99% sure I’m gonna buy one of these shirts. Go learn about living the Sheen Dream…if you think you can handle it, that is.
Thanks to Coty for inspiring this post and my interest in Charlie Sheen.
