Today marks the official release of Threadless’ brand new line of Custom Tees. No more will Threadless devotees be forced to wear the uncomfortable (I think) Fruit of the Loom tees. The new custom tees are soft and somewhat similar to American Apparel shirts from what I’ve heard. I’ll definitely be ordering some to check them out.
Also, today marks the release of a new pricing structure. Shirts will now be priced based on the techniques used on them, so it can vary from shirt to shirt. It appears the standard is $17, with some ranging up to $20. They’ve also released four new sizes. You can check out the brand new size chart.
I’m quite happy about this news, as it got to the point where I simply wouldn’t buy Threadless shirts because they were printed on Fruit of the Loom. Now I can revive my Threadless addiction, whether that’s good or bad is still to be seen.
3X is a size in the new Threadless tees. Wonder if that’s admitting that they also run small like American Apparel or if it’s just more economical for them now since they have their own label? Hard to believe their size chart when it says FTL and AA shirts are the same measurements for the most part when they most certainly aren’t in reality. AA shirts even vary a lot from color to color as far as size goes in my experience.
I’ve seen people saying both that they fit the same as AA and some saying they fit a little smaller than AA. I haven’t actually gotten one to find out for myself though.
It could depend on the size. I know the shirts we use (Continental Clothing) fit a little larger than AA in the smaller sizes, but a little smaller than AA in the larger sizes. Go figure.
Yes i agree to what joe says. That’s my experience, too. But i’m looking forward to the Wizard rock i’ve ordered. I was very satisfied with the Fruit of the loom Shirt although the garment is not as cool as the AA one. But they did not shrink…but the AA do . .-)
