Mickey Mao Shirt from AVAZAVA

funny-mao-shirtfunny-mao-shirt2

For being a horrible guy, it’s kind of strange how many ways you can combine Mao into other words and phrases, most commonly in ROFLMAO–I think that was one of the first shirts I ever wrote about, from the now defunct Dirty Microbe. Damn, that was a long sentence, and probably a run-on. It’s late though, so who cares? That being said, I like this one way more than ROFLMAO. I think one of the biggest reasons is its Mao with mouse ears, but also messaging acronyms have greatly fallen from my favor.

You can find this one on the venerable site known as Etsy, from a shop called AVAZAVA. It will cost you $26. Go buy it. It’s also printed on an American Apparel tri-blend tee, which…

The Big Fifth Eye from Resist Today

That certainly is a very big and very cool looking fifth eye. This shirt somewhat creeps me out, but in a good way. I definitely like it. I also just spent like 4 hours doing tedious homework, so that might contribute to creepiness of a huge fifth eye on a two-headed dude. You can check this out at the always awesome Resist Today. Check out their wallets too–they cool.

Gandhi Says Relax from Headline Shirts

This one is a play on the plethora of “Frankie Says Relax” shirts out there, which I definitely like. The message is a pretty cool one, as well as the little animated Gandhi–a nice touch. All of Headline Shirt’s designs are pretty snazzy, so you should check them out.

It will run you $24 on a soft, enzyme washed American Apparel shirt. Check it out at their store.

Bears, Beets, Battlestar Galactica from Doubletake Clothing

The Office ShirtThe Office

I featured a bunch of shirts from The Office before, but this one is definitely my favorite. It goes deeper than an obvious reference–it’s something only a true fan would pick up. The shirt is referencing a quote from Jim. I’ve included a video from the show if you need a refresher, but, they’re basically Dwight’s three favorite things–bears, beets, and Battlestar Galactica.

I was actually going to write about this shirt today anyway, but I was lucky enough to get an email from Craig, the owner of Doubletake Clothing, giving me some background about the company and a 20% coupon code before I made the post. Like some other companies, Doubletake also dedicates a portion of their proceeds to charity. 25% of the money they make goes into a community fund, which they will spend on worthy and creative causes–it’s a pretty sweet gig. So check out the shirts, use the code “roundup20” for 20% off your order, and help out some charitable causes. Video for your viewing pleasure, and sorry if this post seems somewhat disjointed, Colin is a wee bit tired, and speaking in third person apparently:
