Ace Ventura: Pet Detective is one of my favorite movies. The plot centers around Ray Finkle, a former Miami Dolphins kicker, who undergoes a sex change and becomes a female detective in order to get revenge against Dan Marino and the Dolphins. If you haven’t seen the film, I definitely recommend you check out. Jim Carrey is quite hilarious in it.
I also recommend you pick up this new offering from Busted Tees. You can sport Finkle’s jersey everywhere you go. Grab it for only $14.99 this week. Use a coupon to take it down even further.

I was just watching a few hours of shark week yesterday (lots of stuff on great whites, plus some Dirty Jobs), so this shirt comes at a fitting time. If you don’t know what shark week is, read up on it at Discovery Channel’s website, or, even better, watch some on the aforementioned channel.
Jon, the owner of Mediocre Clothing, is pretty cool, so you’re supporting a good shop. Also, he’s created a coupon code, troundup, that’s good for 20% off your order until next Friday. Check it out at Mediocre Clothing.

Music Through Shirts: Sublime

I’m a huge music fan, so I was looking for some way to incorporate this into the blog. I thought about it for a little and came up with an idea for a kind of mini-series of posts entitled Music Through Shirts. Every once in awhile, I’ll post up a shirt from a band that I like, and give some song recommendations and such. Today is the first one. We’ll begin with Sublime. I think they’re pretty well known, so you might have heard of them, if not, you should check them out.
This one is pretty much the quintessential Sublime shirt (at least it’s what I’ve seen most shirts to be like). It’s got the big sun (one of their album covers I believe) on the front, with the band name on the back. I think the sun is an excellent design. Some band shirts can be weak, but this one isn’t.
Now, for some recommended tracks:
Jailhouse
Santeria
What I Got
Trenchtown Rock
Saw Red
Hopefully you enjoy.
Going to Ireland until March 17th

I’ll be heading out to Ireland soon and won’t return until the 17th of March. It is highly unlikely that any posting will be done during this time, so expect things to lie stagnant until then. Upon my return, I should hopefully resume posting, although it may take me a few days (weeks?) to get caught up on everything. Until then, goodbye.

Why does paper beat rock? I’ve always wondered- it doesn’t make sense. Unfortunately, this one is also sold out in everything except S and XL. I’m really hoping they reprint.

There are a lot of t-shirts with similar themes (cities + nature), but I think this one from Congress Clothing is one of the better ones out there. Unfortunately it’s sold out in everything except XS and XL, but, who knows – maybe they’ll reprint it. It seems like there’s a good chance, as the sale page says that new colors of the design are coming soon.
