Surfing Samurai from Anonymous Venice

Bonnie from Anonymous Venice was kind enough to send me their Surfing Samurai shirt to review. I didn’t know what shirt I’d be getting when she offered to send me on, so I had no idea what to expect when I opened the package. I was pleasantly surprised. The surfing samurai is a pretty sweet (and unique) design.

Also, the shirt it’s printed on is awesome. It’s got fraying on the sleeves and the neck, which I’m assuming is to give it a vintage/worn look. It’s also incredibly soft and comfortable. It fits tight, not like a box as goes with many shirts, which I think is a good thing, and is just overall awesomely comfortable.

You can grab this shirt for $40.00 from Anonymous Venice. Bonnie was also kind enough to create a coupon code for all you readers. The code is “TROUNDUP” and will get you 15% off your entire order.

Imaginary Foundation Makes Me Wish I Liked Black Shirts

I can’t stand black shirts (I get really hot in them if there’s any sun/light around), but these two from Imaginary Foundation almost make me forget about that – especially the second one. Maybe someday they’ll print these on dark blue or something (hint hint), but until then, I urge all you people who don’t dislike black shirts to pick these up. They’re $30 each at Imaginary Foundation.

F the Economy from Print Liberation

Fed up with the economy? Give it the big F You with this shirt from Print Liberation. It could also be interpreted as the economy getting an F grade, but I prefer to go with the former interpretation. Print Liberation has some awesome text tees, and are coming out with a lot of political tees due to the coming election. If you support Obama, you’ll probably like them, if you don’t, they probably won’t be your thing (unless you think Palin is an alien).

With an unconditional love for typography, design, logos, screen printing and creative direction, Print Liberation works hard everyday to make smart and effective design for the world and its people.

It’ll run you $15 and is printed on American Apparel.

Gnome Sayin from Blood is the New Black

Amg! I love this shirt. Let’s start by defining Gnome Sayin, for this who don’t know. From Urban Dictionary, Gnome Sayin is “Proper spelling of the popular phrase “Know what I’m sayin” “.  So now that we have that out of the way, let’s get on to why this shirt is balls to the wall awesome. Essentially, I could sum this up with the fact that it has some sweet looking gnomes  – but not just regular gnomes, they’re gnomes with gold foil bling (yes, real foil). Then you add in the aforementioned phrase and you get total awesome.

Pick it up for $34 from Blood is the New Black.

Design by Humans New Custom T-Shirts

Similar to Threadless starting their own brand of t-shirts, Design by Humans has also taken the leap and launched their own brand, called Fabric. I talked with someone from DBH about it, and these new shirts are supposed to be softer, thinner, and a bit more form fitting than their current shirts. They should also be getting a new sizechart up for them soon.

I’m assuming they’ll fit similarly to American Apparel, but to be sure, I ordered both a small and a medium to test it out. Once I get the shirts, I’ll write up a new post about what they’re like. Until then, you can pick up blanks of these shirts for only $10 at Design by Humans.

You can use a Design by Humans coupon to bring the price down even more.
